From the high-holy temples of SOS — alongside Desyn Masiello and Omid 16B — to soundtracking sacred rituals for global insitutes such as Womb, Warung, Renaissance, Ministry of Sound, Balance, and every label that knew how to spell elevation, Demi has never played the industry game. He set fire to the rulebook and carved a career from the ashes, one beat at a time. Now, with longtime co-conspirator Dennis, he returns under their sonic blood pact Wood Drift, and they’re not whispering anymore — they’re summoning.
And what they’ve summoned on “Aura”, the lead single from their upcoming album Ten Years After, is nothing short of a spiritual autopsy of the last quarter-century of electronic music. This is the sound of two lifers — Demi and Dennis, the alchemical minds behind Wood Drift — dragging 25 years of underground legacy behind them like a duffel bag full of spiritual contraband, and pouring the essence into four minutes and forty-nine seconds of pure velvet chaos.


"Decanter" opens like a confession, whispered through smoke and sweat. The pads creep in — not lush, but haunted, like something left too long in the cellar. You can feel the weight of memory before the first kick even lands. And when it does? It doesn’t drop — it unfolds. A slow, deliberate rhythm, like a heartbeat remembering how to love again.

This isn’t a track. It’s a pouring. The sound of vintage emotion being uncorked and passed around among the spiritually bankrupt. It’s downtempo but never lazy, melodic but never obvious. Every note feels earned. Every shift in tone is a scar.

His name is carved into the temple wall of electronic music’s golden era — not for hype, but for truth.
And now, with Dennis, Wood Drift is building a music collage that is more personal, less about dance-floors, and more about the afterglow.

From the first inhale of On The Pulse — a slow, cinematic uncoiling of ambient tension and melodic unease — you know you’re not just listening to an album. You’re entering a confessional. The kind of record you play with your eyes closed, headphones on, and your whole chest open like a wound.

And then there’s the  strange-glazed swell Galactus Tusk — a track that shouldn’t work, but does. A synth-glazed, near-psychedelic swirl that sounds like Boards of Canada having a lucid dream at Berghain. It's playful, it’s strange, it’s alive. It breaks up the introspection with just enough strut to remind you this is still dance music… sort of.

Lakeside Riviera is a golden mirage — meditative, crystalline, and pulsing like heat waves on the dashboard of memory. It doesn’t ask questions. It just exists. Serene, still — the moment between mistakes.

And then, after all the twists, the stumbles, the cinematic build — comes the encore. Caramel Dream — the final kiss, the last cigarette, the soft comedown. It’s gentle. It’s nostalgic without being desperate. A lullaby for the ones who never got a proper goodbye. Originally released back in 2022 as a single independently, this has been reworked to be featured as the encore voice.
