KNIGHT OF PYLONS

I've always loved the lush, heavy, multi-layered sounds of the Romantic Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninov. He could make a single piano sound like an entire orchestra. This song "Hymn" started out as an Organ-based sound, which rapidly burgeoned out into a full-blown orchestra with the introduction of the fatalistic Piano theme and unrelenting Sforzando Strings.  At nearly 5 minutes, it is the longest piece I have composed for Tenori-On so far.  Dedicated to my friends of Russian/Eastern European/Slavic lineage, especially my dear friends Alexander Shiroki and Liubov Kadyrova. Composed purely on the Yamaha Tenori-On.

I’ve always loved discovering new music and became soon fascinated by all the musical styles i could take inspiration from. By combining classical training with composition techniques inspired by contemporary, pop and jazz music, i'm as comfortable with scoring an established franchise than with setting up the personal sonic world of an original project.

Dudley Anderson was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduating from Bible College in 1990, God opened the way for Dudley to branch out into Christian radio. As a musician and worship leader he developed a heart for Christian music, which became the main thrust of his radio work in South Africa. 

 In 1996 God called Dudley and his family to the United Kingdom where he now works as a radio programme producer and presenter. Dudley also writes a FREE weekly e-mail devotional called, GodTracker, available at surereality.net
