For the first time Boa has entered production territory and brought us a Neo-Garage type single titled ‘Boasis’


Vunerable and soulful, the single ‘Boasis’ is a play on a desert Oasis.
Oasis representing the life giver, a refuge in which to grow and reach potential capability.
And the dunes representing the scarcity of opportunity and how barren life can be.

The track is a reflection of Boa’s personal adversities of homelessness, tragedy and trauma.
And her longing and devout pursuit to search for her home, her ‘Boasis’.
She fantasies about having a rich soil of flora and spiritual herbs, representing a vital back bone of health, structure and stability.
Commemorating her strength in hardships as well as her gratitude towards pain and peace.

'Finding Ground' is a term that a loved one and I once used to communicate when we needed just that. This means taking an intentional moment to acknowledge an inner (or outer) storm and to dig deep to find what is needed to feel grounded when things feel chaotic and up in the air.

The song starts with what I usually need, something warm and nourishing. A reminder of the beauty in the world and a moment to connect to my people and the earth. Usually once feeling warm, safe and connected, there's space to process and move whatever it is that needs to be moved... be that by dancing like a crazy jaguar lady, stomping till my knees hurt, or rolling around in the grass rocking a solid bass face. The first drop in this song is for just that.. and the second drop, even more so. 

I hope that this song helps others find some ground during their storms.. and it helps you move whatever it is that may need to be moved.

Emmotica is an Australian music producer, DJ, fire performer and flow state huntress who will take you on a journey through sound and fire. She's a multi-genre artist with a love for world influences. You can find her playing organic mid-tempo, tribal and progressive house, Brazilian bass, tech house and everything in between. She tailors each set to the vibe; sometimes chill and nourishing.. sometimes an epic throw down! 

She’s released music with the Canadian label Wildfire Recordings. Her sound is best described as a mix of warm basses, tribal chants and driving rhythms that take you somewhere deep and primal. As an Australian producer she likes to include a part of home in each of her tracks – ranging from her own voice, didgeridoos to native kookaburras.

Emmotica brings fierce warrior woman energy to the stage and her sets are an experience in and of themselves. You can find her running out from behind the decks to dance and spin fire between spinning tunes. She loves working with group performers during her sets and interacting with the crowd. She has played at iconic festivals including Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Initiation, Wizards of Kingston, and events with Love Camp (Jungle Love & Bohemian Beatfreaks), Misheen Productions, and the Wonky Queenslander.
