Born in Ireland, musically raised in Berlin; Gavs is navigating his life through the ebb and flow of deep rhythmic basslines of all styles here in Australia.

Growing up in the free party scene in the southwest of Ireland, he was exposed to various styles of music, such as psytrance, house, techno and drum&bass.

Moving to Berlin in 2019, his passion for understanding and playing music developed, sharing and learning from some of the most innovative and exciting artists that are in the Berlin underground scene right now, specifically his brothers @juan&only, @Jamiesugrue, & Tresor residents @Scheissmukke.

Since 2023, he recognized this passion project needed time, space & humility to develop, after all of what he had seen, learned and experienced in Ireland & Germany.

Now, after having played shows in Germany, Thailand, Ireland's biggest music festival, in the bush & now here in Perth, he is ready to continue sharing his vision, his interpretation of what all of this means to him.

Genre doesn't matter; it's the music that matters.

“Fight”, is a short, direct track that captures a state of internal pressure — the moment before instinct takes over. Built around a dry guitar riff, a heavy, hypnotic groove, and vocals that sound almost involuntary, the track creates a loop of rising tension without offering release or resolution.

The lyrics are minimal and chant-like:

Ball your fists / Lose your mind / Be prepared for the fight… You are just / Animal, animal.

The song is not about external violence, but about the internal ignition that comes before it — a shift that happens in the body, not the mind. There’s no moral, no storyline, no chorus to hold on to. Just three minutes of focused, rhythmic pressure.

Musically, the track draws influence from bands like The White Stripes, Royal Blood, and The Dead Weather, combining dirt and space, groove and minimalism.

Recording process:
The drums, bass, and guitar were tracked live in a professional studio — all in one take, to preserve spontaneity and physical cohesion. The vocals were recorded separately at home, in a late-night session, using a minimal setup and no post-processing beyond basic leveling. What you hear is close to what was actually captured in the room — raw, close, and intimate.

There were no co-writers or producers involved. The track was written, performed, and mixed by the band. Alexander Shterle, the Russian-born vocalist and lyricist, leads the creative direction of the project.

While the song doesn’t explicitly reference Chuck Palahniuk’s Fight Club, the influence is present in the underlying philosophy: embracing discomfort, instinct, and the loss of control as part of something human — maybe even freeing.

Interesting facts:

Final vocal take was recorded at 2 AM, in a single pass, using only a handheld mic.

The track was mixed in-house by the band with minimal edits or effects.

Fighters is an epic cinematic work that transforms intensity, inner struggle, and the power of rising again into sound. The track begins with a dark foundation and gradually builds to monumental climaxes, carrying both hope and determination.

To create this atmosphere, I combined several orchestral libraries:

Spitfire Audio Abbey Road One – providing the orchestral foundation, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. Long notes, staccatos, and orchestral swells are featured here.

Spitfire Originals Epic Choir – with soprano and alto voices delivering long “Ahh” phrases that heighten the epic and hymn-like moments.

Spitfire LABS (BBC Symphony Orchestra) – delivering warm, soft viola layers that add emotional depth and a classical foundation.

EastWest Hollywood Orchestrator – bringing in powerful brass sections, driving percussion, and orchestral unison parts that push the track forward cinematically.

Each library contributes its own character:
The Abbey Road Strings add vastness and a majestic tone.
The Epic Choir creates spine-tingling moments, reaching beyond the fight into the spiritual.
The BBC violins & violas bring warmth and melancholy into the heart of the piece.
The Hollywood Orchestrator Brass & Percussion release raw, combative energy.

The result is a composition that feels like the soundtrack to an epic movie – a musical companion for battles fought both within and without. Fighters is not just a track, but an experience: dark, powerful, vulnerable, yet full of hope.

Der Track beginnt mit einem düsteren Fundament und steigert sich stetig zu monumentalen Höhepunkten, die Hoffnung und Entschlossenheit gleichermaßen transportieren.

Um diese Atmosphäre zu erschaffen, habe ich verschiedene Orchester-Libraries kombiniert:

So entsteht eine Komposition, die sich wie ein Soundtrack zu einem epischen Film anfühlt – ein musikalischer Begleiter für innere und äußere Schlachten. Fighters ist damit nicht nur ein Track, sondern ein Erlebnis: dunkel, mächtig, verletzlich und dennoch voller Hoffnung.

“Hope” is an alternative rock track inspired by the emotional atmosphere of Keane’s “Silenced by the Night” and the raw intensity of Foo Fighters.
It tells the story of someone caught in an unreturned love—obsessed, waiting, sending subtle signals, hoping to become “someone” in the eyes of a person who never truly notices them.

It’s about longing, delusion, and the quiet desperation of wanting to matter to someone who doesn’t care.
A feeling that sits between hope and heartbreak.

Welcome to Sharmila Journeys, 
Music & Stories, the creative space of a songwriter, storyteller, and digital artist.
For many years I wrote poems quietly in my diary. They were words waiting in silence, shaped by the people I met, the places I travelled, and the emotions I carried. In 2025 those poems began to find music. They became songs across many genres,   pop, jazz, rock, folk, country, EDM, and metal. Each one carries its own atmosphere, its own story, its own landscape of feeling.
As a psychologist, yoga therapist, and Ayurvedic counsellor, I have spent my life listening closely to emotions. This deep listening does not end with healing work; it flows naturally into my songwriting. My music is not taken from private client stories. It rises from my own sensitivity, from human experience, from travel across cultures, from the whispers of nature, and even from the quiet presence of stones, rivers, and trees.
Every song I create is accompanied by original digital artwork, designed to capture the mood and spirit of the story. Together, words, music, and art become a journey.
In just the first weeks of sharing my music on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud, my songs have already begun to reach listeners organically around the world. This has encouraged me to step forward more openly as a songwriter, offering my catalog not only to listeners but also to filmmakers, music supervisors, and creative collaborators.
