Wanted this one to be mostly FFVII, which often has a serenity to its sound. Supported it with Mother 3 for the lead Horns, and Ocarina for solo low strings. Other things, too, but those are the things that matter.

Yeah, this one took a long time. Look, Ryan was really busy in the early months of the year and had only played three games, so we ended up recording in early March. Meanwhile, the Game Mavericks have been recording non-stop, so I had to get away from the Unleashed playthrough long enough to edit. Then I decided to start exercising more so I could stand to look at myself in a mirror, and that slowed down the edit. Wait, what were we talking about?

"Fate Unwritten" is a heartfelt folk-pop ballad inspired by the emotional connection between Aerith and Cloud from Final Fantasy VII showcasing scenes from both FF7: Remake and FF7: Rebirth.
