Dave DeGolyer - Explore Steuben County in Upstate New York

Yvonne Taylor, Vice President and Co-founder of Seneca Lake Guardian, discusses the detrimental impact of the Seneca Meadows landfill at Seneca Falls, New York. The operating license for the landfill, which is the largest in the state, is slated to expire in December 2025, when the landfill will reach capacity. The Texas-based company Waste Connections, which owns the landfill wants the state to extend their permit so that they can operate until 2040. If they succeed, they plan on dumping 6,000 tons of garbage daily on top of a former superfund site. The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is expected to publish an environmental impact statement soon and will open up a public comment period. People are encouraged to comment during that time.

The guys are back with episode #165 of our Underachievers Podcast series! We're without Brian, but the show goes on. Starting it off, Jeff shares how his vacation out to the Finger Lakes went. From playing Olympic style yard games, to hitting the many wineries nearby, and so much more. Next, Witmer shares how his sister surprised his family by coming up for the weekend. Where he got to see his nieces again and even hit Milky Way Farm, to get some ice cream to send off a fun, relaxing weekend. Lastly, the two have a small discussion on Fantasy football and which spot is the best when drafting. Come along and hear how the guys are doing this week!
