In 2008, inspired by my first encounter with the sheer vastness of Canada, I began writing this song to reflect the spirit of that unforgettable experience, and of the slow, timeless freighter-ship sea journey which took us there. It is an Ode to Nature and to the threatened world we live in. It ends by suggesting that George Harrison’s heartfelt phrase “the love between us all” may prove to be the key to our future, and to that of the world we say we love.

(Finally recorded at ARC studio, Birmingham, England in August 2025, engineered and produced by Toby Wilson and his dad, my old dear friend  Bob Wilson, whose spontaneous, uplifting guitar solo steers the song to a close on a note of much needed optimism)
