I had a fantastic experience at my first DJ set at friend's birthday party. It was an exhilarating experience, despite encountering a few technical glitches. But hey, that's all part of being a DJ and learning, right?

First public DJ set from DJ JD. Played at a house party. Some sweet blends, some jank transitions-- taking the good with the bad. Aquatic theme runs from 90 BPM chuggers and reggaeton hitters up to some 120 BPM deep and outsider house and beyond to 140 BPM steppers.

Ever since I can remember, I loved playing, fixing, and dancing around speakers. I know it sounds a bit strange, but it’s true. I’ve always enjoyed dancing with people, getting them to move, and sparking certain emotions through music. That’s where my desire to become a DJ started, but somehow, I never had the courage to begin that journey until 2023 when I finally decided to buy a DJ controller and dive into the world of DJing. My goal is to get people moving with my music, connect them through shared experiences, and awaken certain emotions through my sets.

Unconventional Psytrance Producer from Baden-Württemberg, Germany

My first contact with psytrance was on July 13th, 2018 (a Friday😉)
The idea of ​​producing music myself came to me at the end of the same year. Even though I didn't know anything about music until then and had never had anything to do with music, I quickly understood music (psytrance). It was clear to me that the music doesn't have to be perfect at all, it just has to work and if I bring joy to just one person in the world with a track, then I've achieved everything. This should be manageable, I thought to myself and started to think about producing music until I started setting up my own home studio at the beginning of 2019. Since I had to teach myself everything, the first 3 years were rather slow, because I simply didn't have the knowledge.
So I had to find my own way and it was a lot of trying and since I'm very patient and playful, I gradually managed to create my own workflow, which I called "haphazard workflow". In the summer of 2022 the knot finally seemed to be broken and from then on I produced one track after the other, none of which sound the way you know it, which is simply because I still don't know much about the structure of a track, just like their standards. My music isn't perfect, I know that, but there's an incredible amount of love in it and I think that's the reason why it works🥰🕉️♥️
