A lowly human dreams of swimming with the jellyfish, no matter the cost. A short journey through the mind of a mad scientist who sacrifices everything to discover the secrets of the deep.

For this track, I tried to keep the timing of a waltz more or less in tact while going batshit crazy per usual with everything else. I had two days to work on this, if I had a bit more time I probably would have played with some more of the composition as I feel it got a little too scatterbrained in a couple small spots. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with it - hope you enjoy it. :)

In Ireland’s hills, so lush and green, A lad named Fionn was rarely seen. He sought great wisdom, brave and bold, But couldn’t cook not even cold.
A druid said, “Go catch the trout, The Salmon of Knowledge, without a doubt.” He grilled it fast, with pride and flair, Then touched his tongue too hot to bear!
Oh Fionn, you fool, you fiery soul, You burned your mouth, but gained the goal. Now you know the stars and sky, And why the cows don’t like to fly.
He speaks in pubs with sage advice, On love, on war, and cooking rice. But if you ask how he got wise, He’ll wink and say, “A fish surprise!”
So here’s the tale, both odd and true, Of wisdom won through barbecue. Not every hero swings a sword Some just get burned and move toward lore.

Story
Fionn and the Salmon of Knowledge
In the hills of Ireland, where the greenery sings in the wind and tales sprout like clovers, lived a young man named Fionn. He was curious, brave, and dreamed of attaining the wisdom of the ancient bards. But there was one small problem: he didn't even know how to cook a cold soup.
One day, while wandering among oak trees and enchanted stones, he came across a druid with a tangled beard and eyes like full moons. The druid told him about a mythical creature: the Salmon of Knowledge, a fish that swam in the rivers of knowledge and that, according to prophecy, would grant infinite wisdom to whoever tasted it.
"Catch it," said the druid. "Cook it. But be careful: knowledge burns."
Fionn, excited, caught the salmon with more luck than skill. He roasted it over a turf fire, proudly and clumsily. When the aroma filled the air, he couldn't resist. He touched the fish to see if it was ready… and burned his tongue.
Oh, Fionn! The pain was sharp, but something strange happened. In that instant, his mind lit up. He saw dancing constellations, understood the secrets of the universe, and even understood why cows prefer the ground to the sky.
From then on, Fionn became a wandering sage. In taverns, between pints and songs, he offered advice on love, war, and even how to cook rice without burning it. But when someone asked him how he acquired such wisdom, he just smiled and said, "It was a surprise… of fish."
