The Constituency (chaos & horror) is an example of two stereo recordings of different duet performances overlapping as one. This conjoined instrumental recording creates a sensation of a quartet of instrumentalists performing together (two violins and two electric bass guitars with effects). With all instruments performed in the key of d minor/F Major, the two overlapped recordings create a blend of cohesive and randomized harmonic, melodic, and event-based sonics throughout its duration. As a foundational instrument the electric bass guitar brings forth a soundscape of grooves affected by time-based and tonal effects presenting an experimental sonic background.  As a featured instrument the violin leverages an array of techniques including tremolo, pizzicato, harmonics and ponticello. The work's title is a reference to social and political groups that engage in conflict with one another based on identity or their pursuit of agency in the world.

Fragmentos do Ocaso (2023) - Fixed media

This musique concrète piece creates an environment that resembles being underwater in a vast ocean. The sounds are naturally recorded rain and waves, adding a different mood and texture. Throughout the piece, the intense reverberations slowly escalate and build tension that reflects a scenario in which the listener is stranded in a dark sea with something lurking beneath them. A score is not required for this work.

Echoes of the Ocean - Op. 38 (Live)

A groovy, joyful piece that resembles the sounds of tossing a handful of pebbles into a pond. It was firstly written for piccolo, flute, and alto flute, then altered through the recording using many electronic techniques like pitch and frequency manipulation, reverb, fading, reversal, and more. Accompanied by elegant choreography.

Paddling Pebbles - Op. 37 (Live)

Like in drawings, a sound material not only exists in the moment but sometimes hints at the path it can be heading next. The direction is derived from very subtle traits of the sound—not only the texture, gestural aspect, degree of tension but also implied visuality and expectation generated from it. While working on my fixed media piece, Openings, I followed the invisible but tangible threads that the sound materials were organically engendering and chased the sonic sceneries that emerged afterward.

"Espantabrujas" es un término bogotano utilizado para describir una llovizna leve o de muy corta duración. Esta expresión, aunque muy sencilla, revela un esbozo de las viejas supersticiones, que aún viven en los relatos de los abuelos. A modo de ejercicio documental, he utilizado algunos elementos de estas historias que me acompañan desde la niñez, mezclados con las lluvias propias de mi ciudad natal, para dar vida a un breve relato. Esta es, simplemente, una historia de brujas.

The Amazon rainforest is the lung of the world; perhaps, then, it is fair to say that tropical frogs are its heart.

Their calls, capable of articulating harmonics and subharmonics, evoke a soundscape inevitably shaped by the ceaseless tropical rains. This piece is an exploration of the ritual and the intimate. A sonic journey that weaves together the cycles of water and the cycles of life, linking the rhythm of ancestral rain to the beating of my own heart.

This is the fixed media of a larger piece, that includes live Toy piano.

A Strobe Fractures Obsidian Night was written for the October 2024 edition of the Novalis Festival in Osijek, Croatia. The video content of the work delves into the ecological theme of light pollution, inspired by the artistic innovation of Aleksandar Srnec's Lumino kinetic art and Croatia's proactive stance on ecological issues. The graphical material was generated through AI via Stable Diffusion, then crafted manually and algorithmically in Adobe Premiere Pro and Max/MSP. A Strobe Fractures Obsidian Night features an open instrumentation ensemble of four performers whose parts relate to four streams of fixed audio playback. Special thanks to Davor Branimir Vincze and Szilárd Benes for all of the help throughout.
