9. aprillil külastas Telegram.ee kontorit (sotsiaal)meedias viimase kuu aja jooksul üks enim kõneainet pakkunud inimesi – kuues USA osariigis eduka ettevõtjana tegutsev Mike Calamus, kellega salvestasime igasugu põnevat infot sisaldava podcasti. Mike oli Eestit väisamas seoses e-valimiste pettusega, mida nad algselt koos EKRE-ga ühiselt paljastama asusid. Paraku on erakonna ja nüüdseks nende endise liikme vahelt must kass läbi jooksnud ja sogast vahtu on toimunu ümber rohkem kui selgeid vastuseid.

 

Facebooki sõnasõdades koguvad enim kaasaelamist igasugu tehnilised küsimused alates EKRE ja Calamuse e-valimiste pettust paljastama loodud MTÜ Konservatiivne Eesti paberimajandusest kuni Veneetsia komisjoni menetlusreeglite rägastikuni, vähem saab aga tähelepanu, millele Calamus tegelikult tegeleda soovib ehk EKRE liikme Daniel Mereääre kaasus e-pettuse osas.

Samuti – kuna enamus Calamuse materdajad keeldusid temaga Eesti visiidi ajal näost-näkku kohtumast, soovime podcastis avada Mike´i ennast – kes ta on, kust ta tuleb, millised on tema vaated elule jne. Muidugi puudutame ka EKRE teemat – miks ta sealt lahkus, mida ta EKRE kohta arvab ja mida EKRE liikmena koges ning muidugi ka elu USA-s – kuidas Mike Donald Trumpi erapeole kutse sai ja mis seal toimus ning miks ja mille poolest Calamus arvab, et Eesti konservatiivide enamus on väga erinev teiste Euroopa riikide ja ka USA konservatiividest.
