Praxema is a piece dedicated to the flutist Andrea Escobar. in which  I've  attempted to capture a series of idiosyncratic gestures that  she played in her energetic and expressive improvisations.
A praxeme is a unit of movement and in the case of this work,  I developed a series of written figures and in parallel a repertoire of similar sound objects 

The composition process grew from small units to macroform in a slow process of accumulation/disposal of materials.

Ruina I: Pummeled is for improvising musician and soundtrack. The title comes from Auden's "The Fall of Rome". The entire suite Ruina was inspired by the rise and decline of civilizations throughout history. Here is my version for flute.

Realizó numerosas composiciones acusmáticas en diversos estudios del mundo  : LIPM ( Buenos Aires) , Studio de Composition et Recherche (U. de Montréal) , Laboratorio Phonos (Barcelona) ,  CCRMA (Stanford University, CA, US) , IIESMUMD ( U de Morón) , Musiques & Recherches ( Ohain , Bélgica) , LIEM ( Madrid, España) , Groupe de Recherches Musicales ( Francia). 

Ha recibido numerosas becas del Fondo Nacional de las Artes , de la Fundación Antorchas , del Ministerio de Educación Español , del Faculty Research Program de Canadá , de la Fundación Rockefeller , de la Fundación Phonos , del Mozarteum Argentino , del Fondo Argentino de Desarrollo Cultural y becas de viaje de la Cancillería Argentina en numerosas oportunidades.

Compuso piezas instrumentales y mixtas que fueron interpretadas por músicos de la talla de Edelton Gloeden,  Fernando Lopez ,  Javier Bravo Josetxo Silguero , Alessandra Rombolá , Elena Buchbinder, Juliana Moreno , David Nuñez , James Baker , Eduardo Moguillansky , Alejo Pérez Pouilleux entre muchísimos  otros.

Compuso música interactiva para las obras de la coreógrafa Margarita Bali, Zoom in Look Out  y Pizzurno Pixelado.

 Fundó y dirigió los grupos de improvisación con live electronics , Colectivo de Creación Sonora (1995/2000)  Gestualt Ensamble (2002/ 2006) Ensamble  Seres/Parlantes. (2014…) 

Fundó y dirigió el Instituto de Investigación en Sonido y Música por medios digitales ( IIESMUNMD) 1998 /2005 en la Universidad de Morón. 

Fundó y dirige el Festival Nuevas Músicas por la Memoria (2011 … sigue)

...Her work tends to progress towards the expansion of the music specific medium and the role of the musicians within them.

Nathaniel Haering is deeply interested in the use of live electronics to expand the artistic capabilities of traditional instruments and augment their timbral horizons while enriching their expressive and improvisational possibilities. This perspective is also highly influential and represented in the gestural power and extended sound worlds of his purely acoustic work. He has collaborated with and had works performed by Grammy® Award-winning Vietnamese performer and composer Vân Ánh Võ, Trio Accanto, Ensemble Mise-En, Mivos Quartet, Wild Up, and members of WasteLAnd, Ensemble Ipse, Ensemble Dal Niente, the International Contemporary Ensemble, and the LA Phil. Winner of the 2019 ASCAP/SEAMUS Student Award, the 2019 PRIX CIME Residency Prize, and the Mixed Media Award of Distinction from MA/IN festival in Matera, Italy, Nathaniel’s work can be found on flux, vol. 33 as well as multiple volumes of Music from SEAMUS. His pieces have recently been featured at the International Computer Music Conference in Shanghai, Seoul, and NYC; the Toronto International Electroacoustic Symposium in Toronto; Noisefloor Festival at Staffordshire University, UK; VIPA in Valencia, Spain; WOCMAT in HsinChu City, Taiwan; SONIC MATTER in Zürich, Switzerland; and at numerous other international venues. Nathaniel completed a Ph.D. in Music Composition at the University of California San Diego and is a Lecturer in Composition & Technology and Theory at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
