Mon Holo Chonchol By Dehi Faruk

I perform the traditional American Folk song about making mooonshine called "Hot Corn, Cold Corn" in a rhythmic Jug Band Bluegrass Hoe Down Style.  Its very old fashioned but has good beats and is a really fun hokey dance-able drinking song, so I was thinking I ought to call it a "Bathtub Rot Gut Stomp" haha. Created entirely with cheap crappy instruments and minimal production for that authentic old timey Appalachian feel.  I don't have a banjo, fiddle, mandolin or double bass, so I did the best I could with what I had, which is exactly what the old folk musicians used to do back in the day.  So this song was made using my Jim Dandy Concert Acoustic/Electric Guitar (pictured), an old beat up Yamaha F335 Dreadnaught Acoustic Guitar, an Ibanez SR405 5 String Electric Bass Guitar, 2 Jaw Harps, 2 Whisky Bottles, a Wooden Shaker, a Sennheiser e906 Dynamic Microphone, a Shure SM57 Dynamic Microphone, a Headrush Gigboard, Reaper Digital Audio Workstation, a Crafter Jumbo Acoustic Guitar (used just for Percussion), and last but not least: belly slaps!  I hope this silly but historic song puts a smile on your face and that you'll have a drink of some good whisky with me while listening to it!

This Music and Dance concert celebrates the birthday of Scottish national poet Robert Burns (1759-1796), also known familiarly as Rabbie Burns. Robert Burns is celebrated worldwide.
