Description: Discussion on problem of driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) and/or drugs (DUID) and the education and prevention efforts among youth – focusing mostly on teenagers. Show Notes: Judge Curtis Fiorini, Deputy District Attorney Stefanie Mahaffey, CEO Angela Webb of Arrive Alive, California and CHP Officer Travis Herbert discuss the issue of DUI/DUID and efforts to educate and prevent teenagers from becoming offenders or victims. They start by talking about the problem of DUI/DUID in the Sacramento community. In 2020, the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office filed 263 felony and 3,954 misdemeanor DUI/DUID cases. Stefanie states the case rates are tracking the same in 2021 and so far in 2022. The group then shares the specific challenges of DUI/DUID among youth. Officer Herbert details what he and other CHP officers observe with youth who are under the influence and how it affects them more profoundly than adults. The discussion turns to the importance of reaching teenagers, and younger kids, early on to educate them about DUI issues. Angela then explains what the “Real DUI Court in Schools” program. Judge Fiorini and Stefanie talk about how they are involved in the program? The group shares the feedback they receive and their thoughts/insights into the program. Officer Herbert talks about additional youth DUI/DUID programs the CHP holds, including “Every 15 Minutes.” All participants close the discussion by giving parents/guardians advice and resources to help prevent their teenagers from driving under the influence or getting into a vehicle with an impaired driver. This episode takes us back to a time when the United States was hosting the summer Olympics, in Atlanta, in 1996.  The summer of 1996 was meant to be an important moment for the heart of Georgia on the world’s stage, but instead is remembered by a horrific explosion, whose percussion echoed the planet.  Join us as John Collins walks us through the timeline of when law enforcement received an anonymous phone call warning of the bomb, to the forensic analysis of explosive devices, and how a pre 9/11 America tried to cope with such a shocking event.

In the first of two episodes, Glenn and Eric discuss Netflix’s “How to Fix a Drug Scandal” (2020), covering the actions and consequences of two Massachusetts drug chemists.  In this episode, they mostly focus on the Sonja Farak aspect, who was a drug chemist, addicted to drugs and stealing drugs from her standards cabinet and evidence.  The guys discuss the issue of ‘random drug screenings’ of crime lab employees and the lack of other various controls in the U.S.  The lack of controls can allow circumstances like this to occur, here and elsewhere, undetected for a long time.  They also share some personal experiences from their past related to friends/co-workers with serious drug problems. There is a very thin line between fiction and reality. The perceived convention of what a character, a person or an artist actually is, have diffused into one another until it is no longer significant to determine what is what. Roger Rabbit is no exception in this multiple and overlapping personas. He is a cartoon, an idea and a sonic adventure that decided to leap joyfully from one sphere to another in order to gain benefit from all worlds… Wouldn’t you?

In his more familiar formation, Roger Rabbit is known as Rotem Doron from Israel, and also in his other alias Toxical, a project he started together with Eli Abutbul. He started his psychedelic journey in an early age and explored his musical path by the burning energies of playing guitar and keyboard while getting insights of how to work in a studio. Back in 1999 he started to create full-onish pumping sounds that suited those times, and released the kick ass album Painting the Future as Toxical. After he matured in his field he decided to depart from Toxical, because he felt he wanted to go into the next level and challenge his expertise, and so Roger Rabbit was born; a Progressive Trance project that aims to preserve the essence of the energetic dance floor breaking fire he produced under Toxical but in a new, improved and innovative manner. His first EP Leading Rabbits was released in the Danish label Iboga and marked his musical transition, and transformation. His music has caught the attention of all the scene and he started playing in festivals such as Fusion festival (Germany), Poison festival (Mexico), Indigo Intuition (Australia), and Mystica festial (Switzerland). 

Roger Rabbit also attracted collaborations with other successful artists such as Lish, Egorythmia, Gaudium, Faders and Lifeforms. Naturally his craft also demanded some modulations and so he remixed artists such as Egorythmia & E-Clip, Drama, Behind Blue Eyes & Krusseldorf. With an impressive armor of releases from Iono Music, Iboga records and YSE he is always on the move for the next dimension… So, join the ride!

My forensic philosophy is that authentication and clarification of audio/video media combines art as well as science. The methods that I use require attention to detail and scientific principles, complemented by an appreciation for clarity and aesthetics. My techniques are derived from both a formal education and the application of skills gained by working in many forensics situations.

Born one day during one of the years we've had, Heylookits Alanglucksman was raised and learned and explored and liked things and incorporates all of that in the things he does while doing them.
