the title and lyrics of this song come from a hypothetical question i once saw, that asked, “if you were on a deserted island, all alone for the rest of your life, would you finally do the thing you’ve been scared to do?” often the answer is yes — we would take that chance, we would make that change, we would be more authentically ourselves, because who is going to stop us? …obviously, this isn’t so easy in real life. there will always be people around us that will see us, and be affected our choices, and, so, our decisions are much more difficult. most of us don’t have the benefit of being trapped on a deserted island. but, still — sometimes, it’s fun to pretend.

Berberine is a great over-the-counter supplement known for its benefits on weight loss, insulin, blood sugar, and even cholesterol. 

But if you spend some time looking around, you’ll notice that there’s a new formulation available: dihydroberberine. 

The formulation that most people use is known as berberine hcl, so how does this new form compare? 

In short, it’s probably better for these reasons: 

One small pilot study showed that a smaller dose of dihydroberberine was roughly 5x more effective than dihydroberberine. 

Given the smaller dose needed, the risk of fewer side effects, and the comparable effects, dihydroberberine is probably the preferred form for most people.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t get results with regular berberine hcl.
