At nine years old, my brother Nick backed three horses destined for slaughter. No saddles, only blankets, bits and an instinct honed by centuries of nomadic horsemen blood flowing through his veins. We took the horses no one else would save and they followed us across lands, squatting where we could, pulling our lives behind them. Their names were Biscuit, Pepper, Sandy and Duke.

Alex, known as A1XD0K, is a composer and producer originally from France and the UK, now based in Western Canada. Blending the grooves of French touch, hip hop, trip hop, dub, rock, house and funk, his music fuses nostalgic warmth with modern electronic pulse keeping sounds in motion, rising, falling, shifting and finding balance.
