Luca Rossi is today considered one of the most authoritative and innovative figures in Southern Italian folk music. An icon of the tammorra, Luca has dedicated his life to preserving and renewing the musical roots of his homeland, transforming ancient rhythms into a contemporary language that speaks to a global audience.

His concerts are much more than performances: they are shared experiences, sonic journeys that unite cultures, generations, and hearts. Through the energy of percussion and the power of tradition, Luca conveys the beauty of folk music, turning it into a universal language of connection and joy.

In addition to his career as a performer, Luca Rossi is a tireless educator: he conducts workshops, labs, and artistic collaborations, bringing the tammorra and the musical culture of Southern Italy to the world’s most important stages. His mission is clear: to keep tradition alive, spread genuine emotion, and share the unique rhythm of Southern Italy with the world.

Before his solo career, he collaborated on albums, tours, and soundtracks with Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare, Marcello Colasurdo, Enzo Avitabile, Teresa De Sio, Inti-Illimani, and Nicolas Jaar.

In 2014, he released his first album, "Pulecenella Love", which was nominated for the Targa Tenco that same year.

He continues to perform intensively, both in Italy and abroad.

Wings is about rising above doubt and the feeling of never quite belonging. Performed as "Vingar" (Swedish) at my solo concert GRACE in May 2025, this raw, one-take studio recording captures both the vulnerability and strength of choosing your own path—again and again—with wings of glass.
Note: This intimate recording preserves the spontaneity of the performance and is released exclusively on SoundCloud.

The spoken lyrics at the beginning are in Swedish. The following is a free translation:

Ice cold on warm days,
I weigh doubt in my hand.
The wind pulls my hair,
and my legs go separate ways.

I chose to go my own way,
a choice I've never regretted,
though others
burn in my brain, but the doubt - is not mine.

Strangely enough, the drive is just as strong,
despite spoken words that throw me off balance.

I rise above the feeling of never belonging,
once again.

Again and again, I lift myself,
again and again, I fly away - with wings of glass.

Hello and welcome to my profile! 

     My name is Omar Octavio Gaytán-Procel, born in México City and currently living in Copenhagen, Denmark. Music and Composition especially have played a very significant role in my life for the past 40 years or so.

    With my production I try to portray the human drama of our times, all of that fragmented reality that appears in front of us every day and that we, the composers, painters, writers use to express our vision of ourselves and the creation around us. My production consist in more than 1000 pieces to the date ( February 2024 ) and is divided in multiple textures and formats. It started years ago with acoustic music and with time and new technology it developed into electro-acoustic music and later into pure electronic.

    Here on my SoundCloud you will find some examples of the different musical ideas that I have been involved with from the mid-nineties to this date. This ideas range from Solo pieces, Chamber Music, Orchestral Music to pure Electronics.
