Transcript: The Grand Lodge of Maryland Freemasons, founded in 1787, opened its Grand Masonic Temple in 1869. The magnificent three-story marble building of French and Italian Renaissance design reflected Baltimore’s new post-Civil War prosperity.

Two major fires in the next four decades served only to make the building even grander. Renovations added more floors, with the Beaux-Arts top story constructed in 1909. Inside, the building became ever more elaborate. Its ten meeting rooms, used for Masonic rituals, included a Tudor-style chamber modeled on Scotland’s Rosslyn Chapel and a room meant to resemble an Egyptian temple.

Black Baltimoreans founded their own Masonic chapter in 1825. Six years later, several Grand Lodge members were severely reprimanded for fraternizing with their Black counterparts, a “gross violation of duty.” They were forgiven after expressing “sincere contrition.”

The Grand Lodge Masons moved to the suburbs in 1994. The adjoining Tremont Plaza Hotel purchased the temple in 1998, intending to restore it. Meanwhile, City officials planned to condemn the structure in order to build a parking lot. After negotiations saved the building from demolition, it underwent a $14 million restoration and opened in 2005 as one of the city’s most opulent event spaces.

Oral history interview with Wilfred Voss conducted by Ann Chetelat on March 02, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Voss discusses his personal history and employment experiences. He goes on to describe his employment at the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) as a laborer and recalls the construction process. Imagine a young DepGlobe, just 8 years old, whose world revolved around the enchanting Dutch radio shows like "The Rock and Roll Method." In the blink of an eye, he became an ardent disciple of musical legends such as Gene Vincent, Elvis, and The Beatles. The year 1981 witnessed his first affair with vinyl ecstasy, a 12" single that none other than New Order's "Everything's Gone Green." But his musical journey was far from ordinary, for luminaries like Patrick Cowley and Giorgio Moroder had already begun weaving their enigmatic influence into his soul during the early '80s.

Fast forward to 1983, when a fire was ignited within DepGlobe, thanks to the trailblazing Ben Liebrand. He embarked on a thrilling odyssey, crafting his own magnetic mixes with a "cut and paste" finesse that ignited high school parties, and soon, the DJ decks at student gatherings. Between 1998 and 2003, he unveiled a symphonic tapestry across three different genres: ClubSession 1-7, GlobalTrance 1-6. But the evolution didn't stop there. Influenced by the likes of John Creamer, Stephane K, Lemon8, and Deep Dish, he birthed his Massive Progressive Series 1-6, generously sharing his sonic creations among his closest friends.

As the years unfurled, DepGlobe's musical persona crystallized into the breathtaking realm of Progressive. Yet, his favorite tracks remain a delightful enigma—progressive techno, pure progressive, techno, tech house, or deep house? Since 2011, DepGlobe's musical magic has graced the digital airwaves of SoundCloud. Following the release of his mesmerizing Lowlands Series, he inaugurated "DepGlobe's NoEgo Sounds" in November 2011. His charismatic presence resonates on the frequencies of United Radio, InsomaniaFM, Frisky Radio, and several other radio shows, not to mention electrifying gigs at pulsating Techno and Deep House soirées.

Specializuje se na hraní pro VIP klientelu, narozeniny lux.barů, plesy ap. společně s hvězdami (Majk Spirit, H16, Dara Rolins, Leoš Mareš, Jaro Slávik, Vladka Erbová atd.) Také zajištuje hudbu pro modní přehlídky a otvírací párty modních butiků (Reserved, House, autosalon Jaguar ap) Již 8 let vydává pravidelně a úspěšně svá CD s velkým ohlasem. Jeho styl a úspěch je v hudně pro všechny a především pro slečny, Mainstream, Pop, House, RnB. Jen van Banks nutzte den pandemiebedingten Hausarrest, um ihren Traum vom DJing zu verwirklichen. Mit großem Erfolg: Sie gewann schnell eine wachsende Online-Community und beeindruckte auch etablierte Kollektive wie z.B. den Macher des "Das Kind in dir"-Podcast Daniel alias Müdebär. Dies führte zu aktuell über 90.000 Streams und 700 Followern auf SoundCloud. Live aufgelegt hat Jen unter anderem beim CSD Dresden und gab 2022 ihren ersten Clubgig im Electric Ballroom. Seit 2023 gehört sie zu deren Crew. 

Jen verfügt über eine tiefgründige Wahrnehmung ihrer Umgebung und Mitmenschen. Oft ist sie als stille Beobachterin unterwegs, besitzt aber auch eine lebhafte Seite. Diese beiden Facetten, ruhig und dynamisch, laut und leise, spiegeln sich in ihren melodischen und gefühlvollen Mixen wider, die mal mit Energie voranschreiten und an anderen Stellen von Feinfühligkeit getragen werden. Mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Melodic House & Techno sowie Progressive House, präsentiert Jen van Banks eine besondere Klanglandschaft, die ihre Online-Community immer wieder begeistert.
