Has some mistakes in mixing but I still hope you will enjoy it! This is a live mix played in a club during a underground psytrance event. Recorded directly from the mixer in front of a live audience. This is not a prerecorded mix or a studio mix but a live recording from an event.

Originally from Brisbane, Rob started mixing Hard House, and was greatly inspired by local legends such as DJ Edwin, Jen-E, and Miss Tracy. Being an avid lover of variety, contrast, and a bit of chaos, Rob cannot confine himself to a single genre, and over the years has developed a love for mixing Hard Trance, Happy Hardcore, Uplifting Trance and PsyTrance in addition to his hard house roots.

Rob’s career commenced in ’98 with a demo mix that led to being shortlisted for the Channel V National DJ Competition, making it to the final 5 out of 800+ entries. This led to a smattering of regular appearances at venues such as Elevation 8, Morning Glory, Viva, The Beat Megaclub, and Mansion, as well as a Friday night spot on the Gold Coast’s Hot FM. Rob also kickstarted “Escalation” events in Brisbane, a night which sought to showcase a variety of genres beginning at a tame and moderate pace, before escalating to the hard and fast.

After a considerable break from behind the decks and a relocation to Melbourne, Rob is back and sturdy as ever, proving himself capable of delivering the goods with a set at Regeneration, a bushfire fundraiser rave supporting the humans and animals affected by Australia’s devastating bushfires. Currently live streaming from home till we have Covid19 under control and we’re ready to assault the dance floor again.

Juha-Matti Mykkänen (OODEEJ) is the resident DJ at Sound Factory Bar & Nightclub with over 30 years experience as a electronic music DJ.

OODEEJ started spinning records in the beginning of the 90s and played his first big events in 1995. At first he played mostly breakbeat, house, underground techno and hardcore genres at local warehouse raves.

A fan of all kinds of music OODEEJ can play almost every type of music in his live DJ sets. The favorite style of music is however combining 90s old school sounds with every type of new and old underground electronic music. OODEEJ can also make an interesting set mixing Acid and Hard Techno combined with Psytrance.

During the years OODEEJ has shared the stage with many well known DJs like Chris Contrast (UK), DALA (UK), I AM BAM (ITL), Tempo Giusto (FIN), Milla Lehto (FIN), Orion (FIN), Korento (FIN), Nebula Meltdown (FIN) and many other names from the underground dance music scene. 

OODEEJ uses Pioneer DJ professional equipment - Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 and CDJ-3000 media players and a Pioneer DJM-A9 digital mixer.
