Step into the murky depths with 'Swamplification', the debut track from Samik's Mycodelist project. This journey begins subtly, weaving creepy atmospheres and ethereal, choir-like pads into a chilling tapestry. Beneath it all, a robust bassline pulsates, constantly evolving with unexpected twists. As the track builds, "swampy" and acidic sounds gurgle to the surface, culminating in a high-energy release in the latter half.

My new track which I am currently most proud of. WimpAmp Master coming soon! This track is the first one which I think is actually really really decent and I think I used most of my potential and experience which I was able to acquire and accumulate knowledgewise in the last few months since my start of producing music in April this year.
I tried to make something I would like to listen to and to play myself as a DJ to a crowd with having a sort of NightPsy/Twilight mixed track with a few darker elements and a conversation about Psytrance from the perspective of a PsyMafia Dealer from New Yorks 1920´s during prohibition. So I wrote some lines this person could say during an interview and made a voice over with ElevenLabs and built my track around this. The leads were made in Vital and the track was built in Bitwig.

Safari, do Omiki & Terra, é uma daquelas faixas que já nascem com alma própria. Ela carrega uma energia tribal e hipnótica que parece atravessar o corpo inteiro, como se cada batida fosse um chamado para entrar numa viagem sonora. A melodia tem aquele toque de mistério e intensidade que te prende do início ao fim, como se estivesse caminhando por uma selva cheia de vida, sons e movimentos.

No meu Unofficial Remix, eu mergulhei de cabeça nessa atmosfera e puxei a música para um território mais ácido, psicodélico e intenso. Mantive o espírito selvagem da original, mas acrescentei camadas que expandem a experiência, fazendo o grave bater mais fundo e os detalhes se tornarem portais para outra dimensão. É som para sentir no peito, fechar os olhos e se perder entre paisagens sonoras que misturam o orgânico e o futurista.

A ideia é simples: transformar a pista num lugar onde o tempo deixa de existir, onde cada virada é um convite para ir mais longe e onde a energia não te deixa parar. Aperta o play e se deixa levar, porque aqui o bicho pega de verdade.

Originally - Scottish. I have lived in England mostly. I've enjoyed, as a collector/listener, many different types of genres since the 70s. But only recently have started live set DJ mixing.

Origins:-

I have always enjoyed music, throughout my life, just as a listener/appreciater, and not as a DJ or musician. I've enjoyed so many different genres and sub-genres.
When I returned from living in Spain, about a decade ago, I eventually found a night shift job to pay the bills, and free me up to start doing music compilations/mixes during daylight. I'd only, before then, made compilation tapes, then CDs, but never live mixed, until recently.
I thought that making music for a living would eventually be my ideal job, actually making myself money for a change, instead of always working for others, making them money. 
So. I started, with a Creative Commons licence, on Mixcloud then Soundcloud, to do my own live mixes. The objective was to get known worldwide, targeting the largest audience - people without money.
This way, I could market my name/brand to a very large audience. With a personal belief that one if the world's major issues being greed, so I readily made the music free.
I've been focusing solely on the music quality, as a DJ should. I've been teaching myself ethnic percussion drums, and when playing those, I play better when I'm not thinking about what I'm doing, making it all subconscious, like my music journey. 
The way, I think, that this all works, is because I've gained a mass of knowledge, with all the different types and genres throughout my life, and I'm on the precipice of starting to make, and work towards, making my own stuff.
I'm 58 now, and have seen so many types of music, and now realise it's time to follow my dream for a change.

For me, that passion is music. I discovered the guitar at the age of 8, shaping my artistic sensitivity. At 20, music production became my new obsession, leading me to bust open the doors of electronic creation.


After over a decade of producing and DJing, project JOLY navigates between hypnotic Psytrance and high-energy Drum & Bass.


On stage, I take my audience on a journey to often-uncharted musical spaces. My music is a fire that never flickers out. And so, at a JOLY (good) show, time disappears and only emotion remains.

Encountering the world of Psytrance through a Party in Austria in 2014, this genre quickly started to fascinate the person behind Chlamydia Nightmare. Listening to it every day, whilst enjoying and exploring it, developing an addictive behaviour.

Years later, after nearly a decade of listening to Psy-Music on a daily basis and going to parties and festivals, his newly moved in flat mate at that time (JJUXXTA), showed him how to mix together two tracks on a DJ Controller. Having no expectations at all, it felt quite satisfying & fun, whilst finally realising that he could now dive even deeper into his favourite music genre.

Already recording his first whacky Set a few weeks later, the procedure of thinking about what tracks could fit together, which style & tempo to play etc. unlocked a lot of joy inside an already crazy/Psy-addicted Person and Chlamydia Nightmare was sort of born, funnily connected to a weird story from the past regarding a sexual disease.

Chlamydia Nightmare is a project based on the constant (and maybe sometimes lost) hunger of scanning through all the newest Psytrance Music and making the tracks fit together somehow in a weird messy psychedelic fashion. 

Chlamydia Nightmare Sets are mostly around the range of 146-160 BPM Night-& Twilight-Psy, occasionally also diving into DarkPsy and foresty Nightpsy aswell as ForestPsy. Playing not only older tracks from the last 9 years of personal research, but also always adding the newest tunes on the market to his sets, he always hopes to ignite the listener with the same joy he gets from Psy, infecting them like a disease.

Nevertheless, Chlamydia Nightmare is still only the fun little project of a cracked up childish person, which for some reason, listens to Psytrance every day without losing the joy for it. The drive behind playing and recording sets is still fueled by the happiness of just listening to this kind of music for hours on end, even if Chlamydia Nightmare is the only person in the room.
