Soltice 《The energetic afternoon》 psytrance

[ENGLISH] Recorded on November 2nd, 2009, this set comes straight from the Psy Nation archives and pays tribute to one of the most iconic phases of psytrance: the original sound of Wrecked Machines, a project created by Gabriel Serrasqueiro.

Back then, the set was titled Old Tracks — and it made sense. Wrecked Machines was already shifting styles, and these tracks represented an era that was starting to fade. Now, in 2025, that feeling of nostalgia hits even harder.

Over the course of nearly an hour, this set brings together classics like Music In U, Face It, Round & Round (which later became Rounders), Rubberneck, and Mother Funker. You’ll also hear heavy collaborations with Pixel, Astrix, GMS, and Beckers, showing just how plugged in Wrecked Machines was to the top names in the scene at the time.

Just discovering Wrecked Machines? This is a perfect glimpse into a project that helped put Brazil on the global psytrance map. And if you lived through the full-on explosion of the 2000s, this sound is guaranteed to hit deep.

[PORTUGUÊS] Gravado em 2 de novembro de 2009, esse set surge direto do baú do Psy Nation e é uma homenagem a uma das fases mais marcantes do psytrance: o som original do Wrecked Machines, projeto criado por Gabriel Serrasqueiro.

Na época, o nome do set era Old Tracks — e fazia sentido. O Wrecked Machines já começava a mudar de estilo, e essas faixas representavam uma era que estava ficando pra trás. Agora, em 2025, esse sentimento de nostalgia só aumentou.

Durante quase uma hora, o set reúne clássicos como Music In U, Face It, Round & Round (que depois virou Rounders), Rubberneck e Mother Funker. Também aparecem colaborações pesadas com Pixel, Astrix, GMS, Beckers — mostrando o quanto o projeto estava conectado com o que de melhor rolava na cena.

O destaque do duo reside na habilidade de criar grooves viciantes, basslines marcantes, leads vivos e ideias inusitadas. Sua abordagem inovadora e a qualidade excepcional de suas produções os colocaram em um patamar superior na cena eletrônica. Cada uma de suas músicas é uma obra-prima cuidadosamente elaborada, capaz de transportar o ouvinte para uma jornada sonora única e emocionante. 

Além de seu talento incontestável como produtores de Psytrance, a dupla também cativa o público com suas apresentações ao vivo.
