De la joie, de la joie, de la joie.
De l'electro-joie des Balkans, de l'electro-joie du Brésil, du hip-hop qui rend la joie joyeuse. Le reggae? C'est la joie. La world-music? C'est la joie. L'électro tout court? Et puis le rock? C'est la joie mon vieux Milou!
 Et puis parfois, le dubstep, ben c'est la joie aussi! 
-"Hey madame, Kévin y dit que le dubstep c'est pas la joie!"
-"Kévin tu files écouter du dubstep dans ta chambre et tu reviens joyeux sinon pas de purée ce soir!".
 Bon qu'est-ce qu'il y a de joyeux encore? Ah par exemple, la musique classique c'est la joie, et pis y a l'afro-cubain aussi, la cumbia, la batucada...
Bon dans tout ça, faut saisir le moment hein, faut saisir le public. Pour ça il va falloir me faire confiance...

Having cut his teeth as one of the original resident DJs at the seminal Venus, Nottingham in the early 90’s, Christian went on to play at most major venues across the UK and Europe during the halcyon days. Early in the decade he was named ‘one to watch’ in MixMag, gained pride of place on the Face Magazines’ barometer of “What’s Hot and What’s Not” listed as “…a Balearic DJ who can mix…” and later was named DJ of the Month in i-D Magazine – which in turn led to a coveted place on their World Tour alongside Tony Humphries.

His career blossomed further in the ensuing years and bestowed him not only with the privilege of playing alongside such luminaries (and musical heroes) as David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and Danny Tengalia but also his original inspiration, Graeme Park. By the mid 90’s he established himself as a staple at the legendary Southport Weekenders and secured a monthly residency at the Ministry of Sound. A disco-tinged house sound rapidly became his trademark and was also prominent in his later production work under the Nu Soulboy moniker with remixes and releases coming through such labels as Virgin (VC) Records and Todd Terry’s SoundDesign imprint. More recently his production work has been reinvigorated with two tracks coming out during 2023 and further releases slated for 2024.

To this day, he continues to produce and DJ - remaining an ambassador for “soul-based music to dance to”.
