I haven't used a compressor pedal for my guitars, I like my music to sound as natural as possible,  almost like live music, however, sometimes, depending on the song I use a distortion or delay pedal or both together but no compressor on my guitars.
These are the only effects I usually use on them.
I also don't use auto tuning on my vocals or backing vocals, nor any other kind of effects or filters, I just use a little bit of reverb on them to give them a little bit of depth.
