This is a track inspired by Gamelan (Indonesian percussion-based genre) I originally made almost 6 months ago, but I didn't release it back then because it felt like something was missing. After months of listening to various EDM genres, I came back to it with better ears which allowed me to notice what was missing. A maximalistic sound that Goa Trance tends to have and that makes it appealing to me!

"Always leave your work for a few months after you feel like it's done and then go back to it, you'll have grown an outsider perspective that'll help you fix it." Well, that certainly did help. So did listening to Happy Hardcore apparently. I don't know if I'd still call this track Nitzhogoa to be honest. But what would fit best? And what kind of track could a DJ put with this one in a same set? Well, doesn't matter because the tempo changes make this track difficult to use in the first place. It's also the reason why I could not name this track "Balaganjur" like I first intended to do because it's the opposite of the structure of a Gamelan Beleganjur track. Eh. I'll make a true Gamelan Beleganjur Goa Trance track someday so that I can use this awesome pun. Also, Beleganjur is apparently already spelt "Balaganjur" sometimes anyways. So my puns are not even puns! :( Oh, whatever.

And like usual, this track was released a special day! My first Goa Trance party, ahah. Well, I wanted to release it yesterday, between today and Halloween. I failed because of my perfectionism. Oh well! I'll thank myself later for working hard to make it sound good! (Edit: the "Goa Trance" party was technically the day after (at midnight) I released this track, and it ended up being a Forest / Darkpsy party, not that I'm complaining though)

Since a young age, I had random melodies appear in my head and I started composing at 10. I used a real DAW (Fl Studio instead of Mario Paint Composer, Audacity or the anthem maker in the video game Spore) at 16 and started to produce Psytrance at 20. 

At around 13 or 14, I randomly discovered Nitzhogoa-sounding music when I heard Goapocalipsis by Alienapia. I loved it. However, that album was labeled as "Goa Trance" and a lot of what I heard in this genre was simply too slow for me! So I gave up exploring Psytrance for years. 

I started to *really* get into Psytrance the summer of 2021 thanks to Go_A's passage at Eurovision. I loved their song, and seeing so many people into it, I -learned that Psytrance could be liked by all sorts of people, which made me think that maybe I could be a psytrancehead without counting as a "poser" despite not fitting all the stereotypes (being a hippie, heavily into "oriental" stuff, doing tons of drugs, etc.). (I *did* get into non-western stuff in the meantime by the way, thanks to Japan culture being so popular worldwide and especially in France.)

Hearing Agneton's Wizards From the Future and then Rayavana's whole soundcloud page is what got me into Nitzhonot. It was also during that summer of 2021.

I created this musical project during the fall of 2023 after 2 years of infrequent Psytrance production and I'm still learning, though I think I'm finally starting to become decent in that style!
