Yet another attempt to fuse deep house music with synthwave. This one is shorter and simpler than you and I, but still overall complex and vocal driven to an extent. It includes sampled instruments and MIDI instruments tuned via Serum 2.

This is one track that is truly 'old-school' sounding and draws heavily from synthpop and electro of the 1980s as well as some more modern synthwave flairs thrown around into the mix. It was made using samples and instruments from Serum 2

Project Serenity - The Race (Orginal Mix)

This is a Synthwave track infused with elements of 'old-school' house, deep house, disco, and a few other styles. The name is a tribute to the band "The Midnight." The track consists of both samples and self-composed instrumental tracks via Serum 2.

STREET HAWK -  Theme 2025 ~ (HUBRID remix)

Just a short and simple synthwave track in the key of A#m. Tempo sits at 110 bpm and it borrows some elements from EDM such as a drop. It also draws some of the 'moodiness' and vibey nature of deep house music.

Ironically, this song was created via a sampled portion of a reggaeton/latin urban track (that is of course licensed for use).

Reverie

I lied; THIS was my very first attempt at fusing synthwave with progressive house. This is a very old track of mine that I have revived and remastered. This one doesn't have a drop and is rather short-lived, but it otherwise encompasses what you'd expect from a track written to combine synthwave elements with prog-house elements. To be honest, I completely forgot why I named it "higher power." I probably just thought it "sounded cool."

Higher Power

Continuing on with my "retro-modern" aesthetic, this track is a fusion of synthwave with progressive house and trance elements. The rolling bass is side-chained to the kick drum. Filter and modulation sweeps dominate this track, as well as chordal stabs during the second half of the track. The lead melody is side-chained to the chord stabs and is very subtle to maintain a rhythmic nature for this track.

Xenon Trance

Midnight Love is a synthwave track with a drop (continuing my "EDM Synthwave" aesthetic) that takes elements from trance music, melodic techno, and progressive house, most notably, the hypnotic repetition featured in both genres. The prominent feature of this track is the supersaws, giving it an anthem trance era type of sound. I also have a new logo that was made for me by a pro-artist :) 

I'm still trying to get the supersaws dialed in cause they're loud, a bit TOO loud. This track features a rolling bassline that is side-chained to the kick drum. This is the first song I composed entirely on Ableton Live 12, which I have recently acquired and added to my arsenal. Mixing and mastering, however, were done on Logic Pro.
