Big Thinkers

Emerging from Liverpool, Newport is a Seven-Piece Country/Folk band, comprised of Connie Catton (Lead Vocalist), Melanie Davies (Lead Vocalist), Gabriel Roberts (Lead Vocalist & Rhythm Guitarist), Scarlett Hart (Lead Keys), Finn Sutton (Lead Guitar), Brad Hagen (Bass) and James Stratton (Drums). Even with dedicated roles, Newport is a new band consisting of multi-instrumentalists and experimental songwriters who met at LIPA Sixth Form College. During the proposal of concepts, it was inevitable that the band would form due to their underlying passion for the country and folk music scenes and commemorating the Newport Folk music festival 60 years after Bob Dylan went electric. 

Whilst being inspiring performers and collaborative songwriters, the members of Newport share great skills in marketing and research concepts applicable to their music, with common interests in philosophical topics, presenting in their acts and works.
Being inspired by a fusion of old-school '60s Folk and contemporary Pop-Country influences such as Shaboozey & Post Malone and exploring the songwriting of artists from a range of periods like Joan Baez and Adrianne Lenker. Heartfelt, authentic and eager, Newport is a must-see act for everyone.
