I’m excited to announce our new track «Amber» created in collaboration with GalaxyTones. This collaboration happened very spontaneously, but I am very pleased with the result we achieved. The track was made with full enthusiasm, and we completed it in just a couple of days. This song captures the essence of a summer sunset, a gentle breeze, and the feeling of freedom and happiness. We hope this track brings you the same joy and sense of liberation that inspired us to create it.

The cover art for this work features mountains with a bright, explosive sunset. Mountains always symbolize freedom and the feeling of being alive for me, so I decided to put them in the spotlight. The explosion of orange colors represents the sunset and the big positive emotions we tried to convey through this work, while the dark side symbolizes the onset of a cool summer night.

KORDS is my pseudonym for Ambient, Cinematic, Chillstep beats.

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa & spent most of my childhood actively involved in various team sports & spending a lot of time tinkering with computers.

At the end of High School, I had no clue as to what to do. So I managed to land a job as Cabin Crew for An Airline in the Middle East. My decision was to travel the world and find some kind of purpose in doing so. 

During my downtime, I would spend most of my energy learning & creating things in the fields of photo, video, & music creation, in which I found a sense of flow. By this idea, it started to become apparent, that being creative was my purpose.

So, In 2012, I moved back to South Africa to begin as a freelance Musician collaborating with various Producers, Singers & Songwriters in a multitude of languages & genres. 

As of today I live in Belville, in the Western Cape & am very grateful I get to spend my day making music.
