Hi, and thank you for taking time to look at my information and listening to 25 years worth of production experience. My music is made to be easily enjoyed with or without words and always changes in "moods" so to speak. I chose the alias "DarkStar" as a metaphor for a person who shines in the dark..or underground waiting to be seen. I like to blend various genres together, however, the "sauce" as they would say with Electronica. I try and stay away from mainstream as much as possible to bring a fresh face to the scene of music because as of late I do not agree with much, I hear on the radio as being good. I am starting to be a known unknown through my music which to me is a hobby. Music first started for me when my step-dad who is a DJ for many many years put me on the tables to teach me the skill. I was already great at computers and wanted to know how music was created. I started at 15-16 years old when I was also playing guitar, drums and DJ'ing myself and picked up ACID Pro. All I do everyday outside of working life is create music and teach production/engineering to others who are influenced by my sounds. It is a hobby I have a passion for life for that is taking off slowly, however it will always be a hobby that artist will be able to afford in the near future should I become known and/or famous. 

I give credits to my Pop for dj'ing since he was 12 and since I was 4!! This is the big reason why I got into music and the curiosity on how it is recorded. Other credits include my uncle Mike who is also a producer and guitarist mainly (FL studio type) for many years as well. He has shown me the guitar and bass, and I have shown him production and myself piano. I use many types of software and fluent in all DAW's with Studio One being my nerve center and Reason to back it up. I still specialize in some software VSTi's however I am a handles on approach kind of person, and I prefer to be intrigued by created entire sounds from scratch such as drums. I am sick with drums I try my best to make synthetic drums sound organic. I am a firm believer in that sound designing will design the type of musician you will become. While I have respect for sampling and never take from that; the heart of all samples and compositions are done from scratch and then sampled over and over again. For me, I do not mind taking my time with the music! Hell, some tracks take me up to two months to finish because one part of the drum kit like the snare I take two weeks to decide on the sound and tweak the knobs LOL. I make beats all day every day along side with my day job, and I do it for the love of creation and to help others in their goals to be an artist.
