Ever since i heard the Moments musicaux, it have been stuck with me for far too long. especially for the first piece. and how its persumably have been overshadowed by the fourth piece of the series. i just wanted people to know that this piece is one of the best of russian melodicity.

The Playback were modeled after the performance of:
Nikolai Lugansky, 2002 and Lazar Berman, 1976.

Six moments musicaux, Op. 16, is a set of six solo piano pieces composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff in 1896. Though written under financial pressure, the work displays his early maturity as a composer and pianist, channeling a wide range of emotions and forms, from nocturne to canon. While each piece functions as a standalone concert work, together they reflect Rachmaninoff’s evolving style and technical prowess. The set draws inspiration from earlier composers like Schubert, whose own Moments musicaux influenced the title and structure.

The first movement, Andantino in B♭ minor, is the longest and most structurally complex of the set, often regarded as a cornerstone of the entire work. It unfolds in three sections, blending nocturne-like left-hand figures with variations that develop across shifting meters, including an unusual 7/4 passage. A dramatic cadenza and a flowing coda bring the piece full circle, culminating in a powerful and expressive conclusion. Its lyrical, chromatic melody and rhythmic intricacies mark it as a mature and distinctive composition, building on Rachmaninoff’s earlier works while foreshadowing his future style.

Despite being composed in haste, Six moments musicaux demonstrates Rachmaninoff’s deep understanding of piano writing and emotional expression. The pieces require both technical mastery and interpretative depth, offering moments of passionate lyricism, intense virtuosity, and subtle introspection. Through this collection—particularly the Andantino—Rachmaninoff began to solidify the voice that would later define his larger works, laying the groundwork for his celebrated preludes and études.

Scott Sadowsky is a composer, arranger, mixer and multi-instrumentalist based in Santiago, Chile. His works include both conventional songs and film scores. His music runs the gamut from rock, avant garde and Latin American folk to classical, punk and film cues.

Vitomir Krstic, known as "Bizzdiss" is 34 years old, music producer and MC from Novi Sad, Serbia. "Bizzdiss" is a seasoned boom-bap music producer whose beats resonate with the raw essence of hip-hop's golden era. Born and raised in Novi Sad, Serbia, Vitomir started as a b-boy around 1999 which led him into hip-hop culture. Drawing inspiration from legends like DJ Premier, Pete Rock, and J Dilla, Vitomir developed a deep appreciation for the art of sampling and the rhythmic complexities that define boom bap. Around 2008 he began crafting beats that pay homage to the roots of hip-hop while infusing a contemporary flair. Vitomir's production style is characterized by his ability to seamlessly blend soulful, jazzy samples, punchy drum breaks, and hypnotic melodies. His beats transport listeners back to the era when boom-bap was the heartbeat of the streets, yet they carry a freshness that resonates with today's hip-hop audience.
