Basement Beats Records welcomes UK-born, Melbourne-based producer Charlie Tennger for its seventh release, Lagoon Dreams, a three-track voyage through aquatic soundscapes where celestial pads, rolling rhythms, and pulsating basslines conjure a submerged world lost in cyberspace.

With over 18 years of production experience, Tennger has steadily evolved his sound, channeling the euphoric energy of late 90s and early 2000s dance music into a distinctly modern form. Since relocating to Melbourne, his style has taken a darker, more progressive turn, fusing the nostalgia of 90s rave culture with contemporary depth and detail.

The title track, "Lagoon Dreams," opens the journey with vibrant stabs, dreamlike vocals, and propulsive percussion that merge into a transportive, high-definition soundscape. "Solar Spells" follows, plunging deeper into uncharted waters with twisting rhythms, alien textures, and a
low-slung bassline that ripples through shadowy terrain.

Rounding off the release, Paris-based artist CO.KO. delivers a club-ready reimagining of the title cut, a hypnotic late-night version that drags the listener into deeper, murkier waters. A rising name in the French scene, CO.KO. has been turning heads with a string of impressive releases
and a forthcoming collaboration with Dutch duo Match Box.

Garnering strong support from the likes of Roza Terenzi, Or:la, Gene On Earth, Jennifer Cardini, The Trip, BASHKKA and Secretsundaze, Lagoon Dreams captures Basement Beats’ continued exploration of progressive, otherworldly dance music, a deep dive into the past, re-engineered for the future.
