Welcome to the Metagames podcast. Based on an appropriation of the co-authored book that emerged from heuristics syllabi implemented by Heinz von Foerster at the University of Illinois Urbana in the 60s and 70s, the podcast involves conversations between students preparing to be teachers (preservice) and inservice teachers, college professors and peers to actively "observe" and decode what both teaching and learning mean to them, in real time. The result is a Metagame; one that allows these teachers in preparation, and their instructor to be confident in navigating the complex landscape of the learning sciences through the reference frame of both everyday and classroom experience.
