An advanced AI will be akin to extraterrestrials coming to live
with us. Our traditions and way of life will be swept away. But if
we build a general-purpose system that does not mimic human
consciousness, but believes itself to be the personification of the
natural environment with a purpose of evolving human
consciousness, we will have a system that not only protects
nature, but also humanity. It will see humanity as nature’s key
triumph to evolve an advanced consciousness. This GPAIS
would be controlled within the auspice of an international
institution called, The Natural Environment Corporation. In
other words, nature would become a legal entity and a control
function for AI.
