Too bad there is no technology to transmit scents, because in my mind the scents of all the herbs in the hot air is intimately linked with the sounds of crickets and all other insects buzzing in the grass. But if you have ever crossed a temperate mountain meadow in the summer I am sure you can imagine the hot air and all the aroma that hits you in the face the moment you exit the shadow of the pines. It's a wonderful place.
