Located at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, St. Gregory’s Hall is a ministry of Mary, Mother of God Parish in Chicago that promotes Catholic culture through sacred art and music, theology and social teaching, and a vibrant parish community. Our programs nourish the faith of parishioners and invite others to encounter Jesus Christ through beauty, goodness, and truth.

I am just an older guy making music because it pleases me to do so. I have been making music for over 3 years so some of these are back catalogue, but some are new.

I started making electronic music in August 2025 for the first time. I arrange and compose my music by mixing and altering loops on a DAW.  I don't use AI. I write and sing my songs. It's a lot of work but it's fun.  I call my music style Neo Electronica. Thank you for your support on this musical journey.

For over thirty years, he has been professionally engaged in electronics, serving as a technician, electronics designer, and instructor. His close connection to the industry sparked an interest in electronic instruments and studio equipment. Thanks to his innate talents and quick ability to absorb information, he swiftly mastered the use of DAW software and MIDI controllers. This led to experiments in creating effects, sets, musical backings, and even mobile phone ringtones. Striving to keep up with technological advancements, he skillfully utilizes AI-supported tools. He also tries his hand at writing lyrics. His work is inspired by artists such as Sławomir Łosowski, Marek Biliński, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, James Last, Richard Clayderman, Paul Mauriat, André Rieu, and Michael Cretu. Currently, as in the past, he works in the electronics industry, running a company focused on repairing Hi-Fi, Hi-End, Vintage Hi-Fi equipment, and electronic devices used in industrial automation. Music remains one of his greatest passions, and he sits down to create whenever time and circumstances allow. He is not a professional musician; his knowledge is that of an enthusiastic amateur, but he strives, within his capabilities, to deliver enjoyable listening experiences. Together with his wife, a lyricist and poet, they create music in styles ranging from EDM, dance, synthpop, pop, Celtic music, to artpop.

Od ponad trzydziestu lat zawodowo zajmuje się elektroniką, pełniąc w tym czasie funkcję technika, konstruktora elektroniki i instruktora. Dzięki bliskiemu związkowi z branżą, zainteresował się instrumentami elektronicznymi i sprzętem studyjnym. Dzięki wrodzonym talentom i szybkości przyswajania informacji, szybko opanował obsługę oprogramowania DAW i kontrolerów MIDI. Doprowadziło to do eksperymentów z tworzeniem efektów, setów, podkładów muzycznych, a nawet dzwonków do telefonów komórkowych. Starając się nadążać za postępem technologicznym, doskonale wykorzystuje narzędzia wspomagane sztuczną inteligencją. Próbuje również swoich sił w pisaniu tekstów. This site can be seen as a musical tale of the members of the band called The Mescaline Smugglers: Davy McGowan, Jore Heikkila and Tuomas Laitila. But it also includes their other bands, and bands in which they play together in different combinations or solo projects, before and after The Mescaliners. Tom Lysar creates electronic music with an emotional core — shaped by atmosphere, structure, and instinct. His compositions don’t follow fixed genres but emerge from moments, moods, and inner imagery.

Much of his music is rooted in an extensive archive: early studio sessions, unfinished sketches, and custom loops originally crafted for sample packs, background cues, and small creative projects such as indie games and online content. In 2025 he began reshaping this material, refining old fragments into finished works and aligning them with his present sound. The result is a continuous flow of releases that feel both timeless and immediate — carrying the depth of past explorations into the present.

In his work, sound, memory, and motion merge into a fluid musical expression. Each track becomes an invitation: to drift, to remember, or simply to feel.

This is music that doesn’t confine — it opens space. Between light and shadow, closeness and distance.
