Following months of collaborative exchange, master and apprentice united as the duo GAS STATION TWEAKERS!?, a project created by American rappers King Buu and LAiN. The pair had years of history between them prior to GAS STATION TWEAKERS!?, ever since Buu met LAiN through a friend in 2021. Appearing on each other's respective songs -- as songwriters, producers, and guest artists -- Buu and LAiN notched a handful of high-profile collaborations, most notably on Buu's 2023 effort, RainOnMe, and on LAiN's first few songs and EP, Fnaf Daycare in the Hood (2023), Off Brand Drip (2023), and The Rise and Fall of RILEXXX (2023). LAiN went on to appear on one of Buu's subsequent releases, !COSPLAY THOTS!, which is said to be the precursor to the creation of GAS STATION TWEAKERS!?.

In late 2023, Buu and LAiN announced the creation of the GAS STATION TWEAKERS!? project. Issued as part of the monthlong WPI Records winter releases recorded in both Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota and River Falls, Wisconsin, GAS STATION TWEAKERS!? arrived on November 21, 2023, two days before LAiN's own The Rise and Fall of RILEXXX.
