From the outside it certainly didn't look like much.

It was just an empty building perched by the river. It didn't look like anything, it's hollow frame and the old tin roof was all that was keeping it standing but once upon a time it had been the home to nights which resonated through the ages. 

As the sun set, it was quiet on the banks of the river. Occasionally in the distance a car whizzed past, its lights illuminating the old bridge which connected the outback to the city. 

One day it might become a place in which people danced again. For now it sat waiting...

Guava returns to Faux Poly as the first artist to release a second EP on the label. Shifting gears into a faster, Techno-focused territory all whilst breaking up the EP with his immersive signature oscillating Dub-Techno-esque atmospherics. This new record is a departure from Afterglow, further embracing light and dark moods with a hypnotic intensity throughout that feels both urgent yet deeply considered.

This release opens a new chapter for Guava, as he embraces the weight and velocity of the dancefloor without sacrificing his signature playfulness. The result is a dynamic, high-energy follow-up that solidifies his evolving sound making ’All Out’ the perfect next step for both the artist and the label.

Words from Guava:

"This record was written in a flow state. For me, it was the most enjoyable EP I’ve made, and I think you can hear that in the music. It came about due to a slight shift in mindset regarding the creative process. I started by making an Ableton template as a way to limit my options. I spent a couple of days trying to nail a sound - referencing and experimenting with different instruments. I would then set a timer and “mess up” what I had created. The deal was that I could do anything I wanted.

This approach was a game-changer for me because it created a cohesive sound across all the tracks. A lot of my process was inspired by one of my heroes, Alexander Rodchenko, a photographer and graphic artist from the Soviet Union. What fascinated me most was the limitations he worked with - he didn’t have access to the fancy digital tools we use today. There was something about that constraint that I envied, and I wanted to bring a similar sense of restriction into my own creative process."

Haus Catz is the DJ / Production trio made up of Tailspin, DJ PurRpLeXeD, and Pounces. Together their sound revolves around a wide-ranging palette of house, club, and techno with forays into breaks, lo-fi, and leftfield sensibilities. Their first two EPs "Club Nip, Vol. 1" and "Club Nip, Vol. 2" received support from several standout DJs and tastemakers, including Baltra, Martyn Bootyspoon, Ouri and DJ Plead. 

They've hosted multiple residencies in clubs around Denver, and they also throw all-night warehouse parties with capacity crowds featuring top tier talent and high definition sound. They’ve provided direct support for an array of international underground talent, including Leon Vynehall, Ross From Friends and Barry Can't Swim. Recently, Haus Catz have been finalizing more original music that encapsulates the sound and spirit of their live performances - moody, groovy, and pspspsychedelic. Look for their debut LP, "We Can Move" coming out on November 7th, 2025!
