Feel Love Friday with Christian Woodyatt (and guest Michael Gray) | 28th November 2025

Podcasts developed by the students at AUR (The American University of Rome) for their class COM211 - Intro to Podcast and Vidcast. This is a weekly show with a rotating cast, so each week the students will take part in all the aspects of creating a full studio podcast episode. The students will also be creating a personal Podcast and Vidcast for their Midterm and Final Exams. Stay tuned to the future of AUR and Podcast creation.

I'm a Polish producer who's all about making electronic music that sounds great on your radio, not just in the darkest corner of a club. My passion is melodic electronic music built around strong vocals. I love taking the emotional vibes from film scores and mixing them with the swagger of R'n'B, Pop, Jazz to make something fresh and catchy.

My secret sauce? I always try to sneak in some live instruments to give those electronic sounds a bit of soul. Tune in and chill out!

Having cut his teeth as one of the original resident DJs at the seminal Venus, Nottingham in the early 90’s, Christian went on to play at most major venues across the UK and Europe during the halcyon days. Early in the decade he was named ‘one to watch’ in MixMag, gained pride of place on the Face Magazines’ barometer of “What’s Hot and What’s Not” listed as “…a Balearic DJ who can mix…” and later was named DJ of the Month in i-D Magazine – which in turn led to a coveted place on their World Tour alongside Tony Humphries.

His career blossomed further in the ensuing years and bestowed him not only with the privilege of playing alongside such luminaries (and musical heroes) as David Morales, Roger Sanchez, Masters at Work and Danny Tengalia but also his original inspiration, Graeme Park. By the mid 90’s he established himself as a staple at the legendary Southport Weekenders and secured a monthly residency at the Ministry of Sound. A disco-tinged house sound rapidly became his trademark and was also prominent in his later production work under the Nu Soulboy moniker with remixes and releases coming through such labels as Virgin (VC) Records and Todd Terry’s SoundDesign imprint. More recently his production work has been reinvigorated with two tracks coming out during 2023 and further releases slated for 2024.

To this day, he continues to produce and DJ - remaining an ambassador for “soul-based music to dance to”.
