DJ Tracksuit (@deejaytracksuit88), began his journey on the dancefloor, a space where he sought connection, freedom, and growth which evolved to become his second home. What started as a dancer’s
love for music grew into a boundless exploration, wandering through the realms of soulful
sounds, unconfined by genre, yet deeply rooted in the culture and social fabric that shape it.

For nearly a decade, he has been shaping a distinct style and curating a wide collection that
captures the eclectic essence of today’s dancefloors, with a focus on House, Deep House,
Disco, African percussions, Afro-Caribbean grooves, Dub, Reggae & Jazz. As a DJ and
promoter, he came to realize that preserving the message within the music requires more than
just playing the songs. It demands embodying its essence in character and aligning with the
means and processes that shape its journey from the soundsystem to the ears of the dancers.

His dedication has led to many highlights, including sharing the stage with one of his ultimate
inspirations, the legendary Joe Claussell, and a pivotal moment when he played an
unforgettable all-night b2b set with Palms Trax for his own Locomotion party.
Both Locomotion and Traintracks are conceptual parties he founded which are centered around
community, sustainability, accessibility, and, of course, excellence in music, with a steadfast
commitment to always paying tribute to the originators.

As a producer, his edits have been highly praised and played at festivals worldwide by
renowned DJs like Hunee, Antal, Barbara Boeing, and Palms Trax.

This episode is entirely focused on resistant rhythms from different traditions : from Guadeloupe to Martinique passing through Congo and Brazil . Drumming traditions in colonial territories were strongly opposed by the regime, being a language not understood by government control.
