A collection of four unreleased tracks spanning the spectrum of broken rhythms that best define us, laying the groundwork for both the musical and visual identity of the label, featuring some of its most prominent members such as Tarek, Iron, Dreadmaul, and Offish.

Drum and Bass, Breakbeat, Jungle, and Halftime are some of the landscapes explored in this release, blending elegance, eclecticism, and potential for dancefloor impact, with a unique identity and a coherence that represents the label across all four tracks.

This artistic project began with mixes that Oliver created for rural car journeys with friends, which became mashups that brought a mischievous smile to people's faces. Years later after participating in various events, learning instruments and acquiring a sampler, the artist has expanded the project to become a live band, which, when performing at events, tells a story within a larger work, “The Song Inside.” The project also contracts back into the self, the solitary Oliver: improvisations based on hardware of erotic and mind-melting dubs from the rainforest. Ranga plays an MPC, as well as live drums, flutes, keys and some synthesizers, inspiring a space for listeners to think, play, and move.

For this release, a selection of instrumental tracks has been chosen, ranging from experiments created years ago to some created more recently. The common thread between them is the compositional everchanging smoothness, erotic rhythms, the comfort of etheric synthesizers, and dubbed out live instruments. These tracks selected highlight the deepest, most hypnotic, and mystical dance rituals that Ranga offers us.

The album's title, Past Life, refers to the feelings and ideas that were circulating when the tracks were created, but also to how it feels to look back at old music and the old selves who created it. There is an unsettling but tempting feeling about the future for the artist. The tracks selected for this release are those that he always listened to without really knowing where they came from or where they were going, as he is still surprised to this day that he created them. They do not resemble Ranga's previous music, but rather, for him, they are music of the future.

The Ritual Master Wottakku opens his chapter on Ornament170.
Four tracks — four stages of a ceremony, built in a strict and focused form.

The ritual begins with ‘Connecting Of Soul’ — a deep and tense introduction that lays the foundation and draws the listener into the inner circle of the rite.
It is followed by ‘Elbows Out’ — a fierce surge of primal amen breaks, tearing down boundaries and driving deeper into the madness of the ritual, clearing the path for ‘Moonlanding’, where sparse drums shape the mid-point of the ceremony, creating motion and pulling into a hypnotic dance state.
The final mark of the ritual is ‘Spirit Jungle’ — a track that wraps the listener in the shadow of mysterious jungles, sealing the ceremony.

MAD ISH, formerly known as Ish Timelessness, is a dynamic and multifaceted DJ and electronic music artist. With over 14 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and event management, she has a deep understanding of the music industry, which complements her artistic career. Her journey through the electronic music scene began early in her life, influenced by iconic tracks and artists like Robert Miles’ Children, Darude, MJ Cole, Masterboy, Prodigy, Paul Oakenfold, Optical, Ed Rush, Black Sun Empire, Audio, Goldie, Pendulum, Oliver Lieb, Mauro Picoto etc.

After a seven-year pause, MAD ISH returned to music, reinventing herself with a new, faster sound. Now based in Czech Republic/Poland, she specializes in darker, high-energy styles like deep, dark, drum and bass, neurofunk, crossbreed, and technoid. Her passion extends to a variety of genres, from deep progressive techno to psychedelic trance, and even jazz, rock, and hip-hop.

Tippo Tunes startete 1996 mit den ersten DJ Versuchen auf Abi Partys  und war schnell mit seinem Soundsystem Yalla Yalla Movement auf den Bühnen Europas und darüber hinaus als Selector und Sänger unterwegs . Als  Sänger der Band Skallywag supportete er Bands wie the Skatalites,  Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Doreen Schaffer, Lord Tanamo,  Laurel Aitken, Busters,  Reel Big Fish,  Dr. Ring Ding, Looptroop, Mono & Nikitaman, Culcha Candela, Mr. Vegas,Dub Fx  u.v.m..
Er selbst wurde supportet von House of Riddim und der Boomrush Backup Band. Bei Konzerten von Nosliw, Natty Flo,  Ganjaman usw. sang Tippo Banking Vocals sowie bei verschiedenen Festivals wie Fusion, Reggaejam,  Summerjam, Uprising, Chiemsee Reggae Festival, Ruhr Reggae Summer u.a.. Musik war somit immer sehr präsent und ein fester Bestandteil seines Lebens. Dj´ing on the one and two war ebenso immer fest integriert, ob es nun die Riddim & Classics,  Bässerleben oder Dubtales Reihe war oder er seit 2015 mit der FreshBeatz Crew  sein Unwesen treibt.  Ein Freund sagte mal, Tippo hat zwei musikalische Herzen: Das eine liebt den offbeat und das andere die gebrochenen Schläge und manchmal dürfen sie zusammen spielen. Und genau das spiegelt seinen Sound wieder.  Er liebt es rollende Basslines aus alten Jungle Tagen mit neuen Sounds dieser Zeit zu kombinieren. Mal deep & foggy,  mal etwas jumpy mit bekannten Reggaevocals. Oft verschmolzen mit Hörnern und Amen Breaks - aber auf jeden Fall  immer tanzbar.

As the singer of the band Skallywag, he supported bands like the Skatalites, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Doreen Schaffer, Lord Tanamo, Laurel Aitken, Busters, Reel Big Fish, Dr. Ring Ding, Looptroop, Mono & Nikitaman, Culcha Candela, Mr. Vegas, Dub Fx and many more. He himself was supported by House of Riddim and the Boomrush backup band. Tippo sang banking vocals at concerts by Nosliw, Natty Flo, Ganjaman, etc., as well as at various festivals such as Fusion, Reggaejam, Summerjam, Uprising, Chiemsee Reggae Festival, Ruhr Reggae Summer, and others. Music was therefore always very present and an integral part of his life. DJing on the one and two was also always an integral part of his life, whether it was the Riddim & Classics, Bässerleben or Dubtales series, or whether he has been causing mischief with the FreshBeatz Crew since 2015. A friend once said that Tippo has two musical hearts: one loves the offbeat and the other broken beats, and sometimes they are allowed to play together. And that is exactly what his sound reflects. He loves combining rolling basslines from the old jungle days with new sounds of this time. Sometimes deep and foggy, sometimes a bit jumpy with well-known reggae vocals. Often merged with horns and amen breaks - but in any case always danceable.
