A brilliant and underrated label that joins the dots between halftime D&B, jungle, and footwork. I've managed to squeeze the entire back catalogue (minus remixes) into a one-hour mix, enjoy!

My "Friday mid-afternoon in the courtyard" set at the beloved raver's retreat / birthdays party that is Forest Friends.

Of note: the remastered Dom & Roland tracks.  Both are special to me because they comprise my very first D&B record.  It was a very quiet pressing, and by now even more so, because I've played it so many times over the decades.  So, it's nice to have an aural upgrade.
Also: I like Coco Bryce!  Evidently, based on how often I play his stuff.  :P

Feeling over rules.

Playing tracks for people, helping to illuminate the path to better music, has been Silpher's passion ever since he started making Industrial and EBM mix tapes with a single cd player and tape deck, early in his teens.  

In the fall of 1992, Silpher discovered the Oregon rave scene.  It was love at first sight, reorienting his focus directly on everything related to Electronic Dance Music, starting with helping to found the University of Oregon's campus radio station (KWVA), as the Electronic Music Director.  Since then, in addition to consistently introducing his listeners to the outlying frontiers of Electronic Dance Music, Silpher has promoted events, owned and operated a ServoDrive / Sound Physics Labs sound system (Stylus Systems), owned and managed a record store (Stylus Grooves), designed party flyers, and is always down to teach anyone how to spin records.

The electronic dance music scene is in Silpher's blood, and he can't see ever living without it.

Currently, Silpher resides in Portland, OR, making sound systems sound better.

Betafuse is a Minneapolis-based live electronic duo made up of Sam Rivkin and Eric VanderVorste. Using a vast array of sound sources and Ableton Live as a looping and FX vehicle, the two produce non-stop sets of Glitch-Hop, Dubstep, House, and Experimental music. Everything is made on the spot and in a 100% improvised format using no pre-recorded material.
