The original track was called 'Beetles' and was on the 2000 album 'Monte Cristo Gamble' (sic).  I wrote it in response to a challenge from someone who said I couldn't do a straight dance tune.

trance music was big then - the poppy side of trance that would soon morph into EDM and take over the world. (I think everywhere I go in SE Asia seemed to play EDM from 2010 to 2020.  Only now, I'd say Kpop has taken over).

The OG was never really finished.  I mixed it down with a fade in and out, and it was only 1 min 40 seconds.  So now in 2025, I've finally given it the love and attention to turn into a bone fide trancey EDM poppy smasher.  only 25 years to late to hit the charts....

I am Scott Moca from Scotland currently living in Dubai (UAE).

I am a DJ and producer with a love of all things soulful/disco house.  I have been very fortunate to play in some of the best venues across Europe with friend and DJ partner, Scotty Wilson.

With Scotty Wilson, we are collectively known as Soul Kitchen; and have some productions under our belt with a stack of unsigned work due to come.

Over a 30-year career, she has scaled the heights of dance music fame and hedonism playing disco, house and techno to huge crowds and in cool underground basements. She is a DJ who is renowned for consistently ‘smashing’ every set she plays. One of two women to have a monthly residency at the Hacienda, she went on to have residencies at Brighton’s Zap Club and London’s Heaven and Ministry of Sound, before serving successful stints in Paris and Ibiza then returning to Manchester to rise again in her birth and spiritual home.  Her second Essential Mix was broadcast on Radio One in February 2023. She is known for her monthly radio shows with Reform Radio, Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM and has a Global Residency show produced in collaboration with The Radio Department that can be found on Apple Music.
