Here it is! The third edition of the Blank Wave guest mix series. We warmly welcome Que Sakamoto who has become Japan’s latest export to the world. 

From his deep roots in the Tokyo underground, he finds himself outside Japan most of the year on his relentless worldwide club tours which recently brought him closer to the Blank Wave base with appearances at Panorama Bar in Berlin and Amp in Frankfurt. Guest Mix 21 features VONGOLD aka Nora Cam from Guadalajara, Mexico: DJ, writer, producer and vocalist. Her core influence lies between cinema and music and especially genres like Disco, New Wave, Synth Wave and Post Punk, merging them altogether in her own vision and sound with the current Indie Dance and trancy House movement.

VONGOLD is a tireless seeker of a special spark in music. Electronic rhythms that resemble organic sounds or sensual and catchy vocals over cluttered but defined bass lines mixed up with a unique avant garde style. Her focus is on female productions and collaborations
are essential to VONGOLD's artistic expressions.

Her natural way of seducing the dancefloor has been determinant for VONGOLD to be chosen as one of the favorites at the current scene in Guadalajara. Though she's also well known to be constantly performing at the hottest venues and parties from Mexico to Columbia and the USA.

Her career is permanently evolving from her early beginnings warming up at local parties creating a smooth but effusive dance floor to supporting acts like Perel, Zombies in MIami, Cut Copy, Chromeo, Moscoman, Red Axes and many more.

First, three cereals - rye, spelt and barley - for a yeast that rises, stretches and relaxes over a slow, psychedelic tempo. Then hops for a peppery note, a rhythmic, intoxicating spiciness. Finally, wild herbs, the secret aromatic touch of the magic potion.

Based in Nancy, Brasserie de Clémery draws its inspiration from both German brewing traditions and the organoleptic revolution of the craft brewing movement. All their beers are brewed and produced on site, with an emphasis on human scale, quality and short supply chains. They see tradition as a fundamental foundation, and experimentation as a necessary pleasure. And it works: in April 2023, one of their beers was named best beer in the world

Birds is the musical project of UK born, Netherlands based DJ Katie Wilkinson. Her music is melting pot of techno, 90s acid, electro and 80’s EBM and New Wave, with her more recently material also incorporating more bass heavy sounds. She has released on labels such as Höga Nord, Ombra International, NEIN, Freeride Millennium, Hard Fist and Samo Records before founding her own label Feed The Void, a label which aims to showcase her eclectic tastes. She has also received a lot of love for for her captivating live sets.

As a DJ, as well as through her music she exercises a never ending desire to explore sonic possibility and switch up genres continuously. Her sets reflect these curiosities and have an extremely transcendent nature to them; you never know whether you'll find yourself dancing to churning low tempo industrial techno, high tempo acid bass lines, Italo, experimental breaks or something far and between these things. Nothing is too weird or intense for a Birds DJ set. She has a monthly radio show on Netil Radio which is a residency that she's had for the past five years. Emerging artist from Lyon, Neskeh already stands out for his indie electronic, weird wave,post-punk and dark disco sets. 

Dissonant textures, tribal influences, provocative percussions - Neskeh loves to blend the beautiful with the strange.

Hailing from the hyperactive label Hard Fist, he exerts his influence between Paris and Lyon ( venues like Le Sucre, Rex Club, Station Gare des Mines, Cabaret Sauvage, HEAT). He’s also a presence at major events like Nuits Sonores, Hippodrome de Vincennes, Worldwide Festival and Chateau Perché.

In 2022, he ventured into music production and has already signed 5 releases with highly influential labels in the scene, including Ransome Note, Playground Records, Cracki Records, Kaputt.wav, and, of course, Hard Fist Records.

Vilnius based producer Shkema makes weird music for weird people. He spent ages with the analog synthesizers, looking for that right tone color. Then he added guitar sounds and various percussion. His strange and off voice component came last. He stays up late into the night, finding peace in his mind, imagining stories and creating music around it. 


That’s how Room of Men Eaters was born: a collection of absurd short stories and invented words coming straight out of his mind, whose aim is to draw you into the twists and turns of the night.

Exemple: one day you wake up in the morning and you feel that something within you has changed. All seems to be nonsense and you start to look at everything through the grey glasses of sarcasm. One might look enjoying oneself, but in reality this is an extremely draining state of mind.

Founded by Jeremy aka @Funky-Chap to unite music lovers to spread music news, new tracks, old tracks, unknown artists, good vibes, events within your region to people who appreciate music and its different genres. The podcast first launched at the start of 2013, successfully bringing in a variety of DJs based all over the world who are truly passionate about music. Everyone has their own way of interpreting the sunset mood and it is about enjoying their perspective when they are behind the decks :)  

We have a fresh podcast from a different DJ every week.. sometimes more often sometimes less. The music style is all about what the DJ is feeling at the moment with the common theme of having that beautiful sunset in the background wherever you may come from or where you are currently based.
