Kil Marcel's Realist mix finds the Bornholm producer in the midst of a prolific twelve months. @kil_marcel has self-released the post-club EP Every Scar On My Body Reminds Me of You, a pair of albums in Regrets and I Am Deathly Sick, and had placements on Kavari's Ambient Tape 002 and Marmint's Tüskebölcső compilation. They have also mixed for Retreat Radio and Quit Music. KM's Realist mix typifies their uniquely omnivorous taste, blending nu-metal, gabber, baroque pop and cloud-rap, alongside reams of their customary ambient, noise and deconstructed electronics.

The first half of the mix conveys a disintegration of the music, the mix asserting effect at the disappearance of the music, at the disappearance of the mix - where lingers a caterwaul in kilobytes... a horror of the motherboard, the horror of an ongoing archive (the archive once had an evil selectivity, transformed now into a totality of imagination's impotence), horror of the unenunciably stricken by omniscience. There is consolation in the starting of the indecipherable, the sections of voice that butt against abrasion never distilling into comprehensibility. The only organon of language is non-language, which is a meaningful music - a radicality of the earphone... the earphone an alien hazing. A music against a listening - where listening disintegrates, so does a person, and the purpose is to disintegrate the person. To disintegrate the belief in the person of a person.
     There is a moment in the mix where the violent volume drops out for a second, for the extreme volume to return only seconds later. It is a charming flicker of the person behind the music, only for the person to self-erase at the moment of realization and re-introduce the state where the possibility of the music is that it outline anew a self-perception through repulsion. One listens not to hear. One listens for a tutelage in disappearance. One cannot have opinions on music... it is only effective where is witnessable the shape of a silent reckoning. 

But there is a second-half to the mix. Less computational, less a horror of endurance. If the first half is about the disintergration of the self as the only viability of language (music is language only more approximate to the actuality of feeling), then the second half is about what remains of the human - which is to say about all of the human, who is an agglomeration of unrealized remains - a matrix of glints crying out from a capsule that is boundless. The tincture of a remembered dance. The foreclosure of a person fully-formed. Memory and being and the indistinction now of these words. The mix's penultimate question is - can anybody hear me? So asks anything that lives. Such is the language of a glance, a brush, the dysfunctive tryst. Or so asks anything that has yet to imagine what it is or ever was.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
