ACID ARC
Techno acid fusion shimmering psychedelic layers and funk guitar; 118 BPM in F-Minor 3.32 min
Acid Arc — Independent Song Review
Acid Arc — Kellytranscend
An Acid-Techno Cut With Bite

“Acid Arc” places Kelly Hector, working as Kellytranscend, in a leaner, more club-focused frame than much of her catalogue. The 3:32 track runs at roughly 117 BPM and centres on an F-minor tonal pull, using elastic 303-style sequences, kick, clipped percussion and breathy “baby” vocal fragments as rhythmic hooks rather than conventional storytelling.

Sound and Arrangement

The strongest element is the acid programming. The lead line keeps mutating through filter movement, resonance and phrasing, giving the track forward motion without relying on a huge festival drop.

Its restrained tempo creates a strutting, late-night feel—closer to an underground warm-up or electro-acid set than peak-time hard techno.

The mix is spacious and controlled, although the master is quieter than many current club releases; more low-end weight and stronger transient impact would make it translate better on a large system.

Comparable Artists

Stylistically, “Acid Arc” recalls the squelching discipline of Hardfloor, the hypnotic tension of Josh Wink and the cooler electro sensuality associated with Miss Kittin.

It does not copy those artists, but operates in a recognisable lineage of acid music built around repetition, modulation and attitude.

Who It Is For

This is aimed at acid-house listeners, underground techno DJs, late-night drivers and electronic fans who prefer groove and texture over pop-style verses and choruses.

Catalogue Perspective and Rating

Public Kellytranscend listings identify Kelly Hector as a Melbourne songwriter, producer, composer and video creator whose catalogue crosses techno, trance, dance, indie-pop and experimental music.

Compared with the wider, often more narrative earlier output, “Acid Arc” feels concise, focused and technically assured.

Acid Arc: 8/10
Overall Kellytranscend catalogue: 7.5/10

The scoring can be made tougher, more technical, or more celebratory while preserving the impartial magazine tone.

Acid Arc

Tekno 4 Palestine is one of those records that resists, and you can feel it the moment you hold it in your hands — because it only comes this way. In person, old school, from the best underground stores. One hundred printed copies, three-panel digipack, four-page booklet. A physical object in a world that has stopped believing in physical objects, made by people who stopped waiting for someone to give them permission.

The project brings together three independent realities: SUM – Sound Underground Music, an underground booking agency and record label based in Bologna, Bass Lads Crew, a collective of producers with a long history in the European tekno scene, and Revolution Culture APS, a cultural project founded by artist Alex Leon working on ecological transition, environmental education and international solidarity networks. It is through this network that the connection with Global Movement For Justice Italia APS was made — the project’s beneficiary organisation, a name that carries a very specific weight in this historical moment.
Sumud — a word that matters

Sumud, in Arabic, means rooted resistance, resilience that does not yield, a stubborn presence on one’s own land. It is a word the Palestinian people have used to describe themselves for decades, and one that over the past year has become globally recognised through the Global Sumud Flotilla — the international coalition that brought activists from 46 countries to attempt to reach Gaza by sea with humanitarian aid, challenging the Israeli blockade. In Italy, the Flotilla triggered an unprecedented mobilisation: on 22 September 2025, one million people brought the country to a standstill in a general strike, with ports closed in Genoa, Trieste, Venice and Livorno, schools shut, and marches across Bologna, Milan, Turin and Naples.

Tekno 4 Palestine stands in that same current, supporting Global Movement For Justice Italia APS with the tools it knows best: music, vinyl, community.
The record, track by track

The record is a double. The first CD gathers thirteen tracks from the SUM DGTEK ZODIAC catalogue — SUM’s monthly digital compilations, remastered for the occasion by Insane Teknology — featuring Okten LFO, Rotek, Zetakill, Bedz x NVRSTK, Elixyr, Anton DRB, Jetro Russo x Hifoo, Danikxstem, Luca Zod, Reneg, Sparkling System, Synthologik and Who Is Cupo. The second CD is entirely unreleased — fourteen original productions from Bass Lads Records, with Artificial Kid, DAFX, Grime Spitterz, Zymnz, Plagatek, Keephout, Franco Battiato reimagined by Ganjamal, Amos vs. Acidpach, Mr.Crazy, Vasta, Floe Tos & Nikbadint, Molek, Crunchy Groove and an outro by Floe Tos, Nava NTP and El Piña. Mastering of the second disc is by Keephout. Artwork by Plagatek, graphic design by Ghastboy — minimal, tekno, professional.

Tekno for those who resist, for those who cultivate, for those who dream

The economics of this project are transparent down to the last cent: one hundred copies at twenty euros each, production costs split equally between the three collectives, with the net proceeds going entirely to the donation and a full public report published at the close of the campaign. A small force, as the project’s promoters write in their proposal document — but a real one. And that honesty is already a political statement in a sector that too often uses charity as marketing.

In Tekno 4 Palestine, tekno — always a symbol of freedom and self-determination — becomes a concrete tool of solidarity, with no middlemen, no platforms, no algorithms deciding who deserves visibility.

Tekno for those who resist, for those who cultivate, for those who dream — that is the line that closes the project’s proposal document, and it is worth more than any review.

Available by hand only. One hundred copies. Go find it.

Aqui dejo un tema todo producido pormi y solo pormi, con melodias psicodelicas y tekneras con un kickbas duro y cambiante de tono, con atmosferas y fx muy tribu y con una vocal opera y, le puesto mucho cariño.
