On Friday the 2nd of August, I had the pleasure of sharing the decks with my dear friend MØRK for a back to back closing act; which we chose to name Norwegian Hard House Mafia. It took place at Lokal Klubb in Trondheim, Norway, under the banner of our event series Heart House. 

This was – without a doubt – one of the most fun experiences I’ve had as a DJ yet, and I think it shows in the recording as well that we truly had a blast!

started djing back in 1994 playing hardhouse and a mixture of other genres learning on vinyl .i stopped in 2004 to concentrate on real life after melting my brain raving over the previous 10 years  . ive now started mixing again  banging out hardhouse and have residencys for insanity_djs and Atomic_HardHouse fortnightly ,sat 8-10pm and sun 8-10pm on twitch.

VVELTSCHMERZ is a DJ and producer hailing from Trondheim, Norway. As a kid growing up, he was greatly influenced by his father’s interest in music, and started collecting records at a very young age. He brought his records with him wherever he went, and would often play them at his friends’ birthday parties. This led him to naturally venture into the world of DJing, and he started playing at his local youth club back in 2001.

A typical set from VVELTSCHMERZ can be described as a high-gear 4x4 journey through hard, electronic music – both old and new. From dirty acid and industrial warehouse techno; to trance, pounding hard house and NRG; to hardstyle and hardcore. No matter what he plays; his focus is always on creating a memorable night on the dance floor.

As of 2023, he holds a residency on Fnoob Techno Radio, where he has played alongside names like Reinier Zonneveld and PETDuo. He is the founder of the club concept UNTERVVELT, and one of the curators and organizers behind the art-and-club-event series KunstKLUBB. Together with his good friend MØRK, he runs the club concept Heart House, and they play together under the b2b moniker Norwegian Hard House Mafia. Also; he is currently working on his debut EP, which shall see the light of day in 2025.

Some of his recent bookings include warm-up for Might Be Twins (Kulturfabrikken Kristiansund), Frequent Friday (Stereo) and Bass-On (Vers Libre) in Bergen, Kristiansund Kunsthall, Give Me A Break (TYVEN), TRØNDERDOME (CLUB-WONDERLAND / Lager11), Technophilia (Trykkeriet Scene), PaaDyptVann (HAVET Arena), and warm-up for Onleash (Lokal Klubb) in Trondheim.

In addition to DJing and producing, VVELTSCHMERZ is a visual artist, and the other half of the performance art-duo Mikalsen & Marhaug; working within the fields of sound art, techno, harsh noise, power electronics, and live action painting – often intertwined through improvisation.

Recognized as a pioneer of harder-edged electronic dance music, Morgan's dedication to Hard House, Hard Trance, Hard Techno, and Hard NRG has been evident with each new project. He was responsible for creating HardNRG.com, an early resource for hard dance mixes and information, along with Lotek Records, America's first HardNRG record label.

Morgan began mixing after attending underground parties in the early '90s. Inspired by what he saw and heard, he picked up a pair of Technics and taught himself to spin. Immediately recognizable for his aggressive mixing style and explosive transitions, he seamlessly blends each tune into the next without losing track of the overall effect on the audience.

Throughout the years, Morgan has defined himself as a supporter of the harder side of electronic dance music. He can usually be found playing underground parties, whereby bringing everyone into an intimate setting, Morgan uses the music as a catalyst to create an explosion of energy, a wicked burning frenzy of mad stomping kids!

Alek Szahala (Paokala) is an electronic music composer / producer / performing artist from Finland.

Alongside Finnish freeform acts such as Carbon Based, Re-form and Pain on Creation, Alek Szahala represents the first wave of Finnish Freeform. During his music production career, he has performed at over 100 festivals, clubs and other electronic music events in Australia, Europe, Asia and North America, and left behind over 50 releases on vinyl, CD and digital formats.

Paokala is Alek's side project focusing on soundtracks and video game music.
