Kathleen Sieck's latest album, “Goodnight America" (2020), is a statement piece from this popular singer-songwriter. Paired with a classic sound, her melodies are strong and evocative, with lyrics deeply rooted in a sense of time and location. Produced by Raymond Richards B-Side Studios and co-produced by Bobby Hartry at CatBeach Studio, this 8-song collection was released via CatBeach Music, in the spring of 2020. 
A California native, Kathleen's music envelopes the listener in a sun-soaked West Coast nostalgia that is both laid back and soulful. Kathleen’s confident writing paired with velvety smooth vocals and lyrical melodies are reminiscent of iconic artists such as Carole King, Linda Rondstadt, Susan Tedeschi, and Alison Krauss. This album is a genre-defying group of solid songs that hits all the right feels and is both reflective and relatable. 
 	
After Kathleen decided to turn to songwriting and music, she made a name for herself in the SoCal area as a worship leader. Over the past few years, Kathleen has released two gospel albums and an Americana album (Where the Sleepers Lie, 2014). 

In 2015, Kathleen formed a locally beloved Americana band, The Paradise Road, which performs throughout Southern California. In addition to being the band leader and songwriter, she also writes for film and TV, with songs sync licensed in “The Days of our Lives” and “General Hospital”. 

	Currently, Kathleen is in the studio, recording a new album with The Paradise Road, which will be a collection of California-centric original music, titled Antares This album will be released in summer 2024. Additionally, Kathleen is a mother of three teenage daughters, an independent contract floral designer, a worship pastor at a church in Summerland, California, as well as a touring musician with Shaun Cassidy (2019-present).

The product of home recordings during a time of reflection and personal growth, harpist Ranie Ribeiro delivers his first full length harp record Contemplation, a delicate collection of unassuming harp compositions and improvisations.

A record that has gone through multiple iterations, shapes and life-changes, Contemplation plays out like you’re sitting in the room minding your own business as Ribeiro’s playing fades in-and-out from the corner, accompanying your thoughts, your chores, your life as it all passes you by.

2024 was as a tumultuous period for Ribeiro, and the album’s contemplative and somber moments, captured deftly and naturally recorded at home are an open invitation for the listener. The organic recordings allow Ribeiro’s emotive playing to shine right through, making the album feel appropriately personal. The music is as much of a time capsule where Ribeiro could bury the entirety of 2024’s occurrences and struggles for others to pick up and give them a moment of pause, to reflect upon their own life.

In a musical world where over-processing and manipulation obfuscate intent and feeling; Contemplation is vulnerable. Putting his stake in the ground and claiming his artistic space, Ribeiro refuses to let heartbreak or insecurities stand in his way and his music comforts you so much it’ll empower you to feel the same.

The title of this score for flute and harp refers simply to the name of the street where I now live, near Asheville and the beautiful Appalachian mountains of western North Carolina. Everyday, I imagine my music studio at this home as a sort of “portal” to both the outside world, and my own inner world. For me, this portal to both worlds helps to bring meaning, possibility, and hope into otherwise confusing and chaotic worlds (both inner and outer). I compose for self-clarity. Musically, “On Balsam High” was inspired by my adoration of both the flute and the harp, and the combination of these two instruments. Written for The Patchwork Suite, a classical and contemporary music podcast produced by WGTE Public Media, an NPR affiliate station in Northwest Ohio. This short piece for flute and harp is in the format of a theme and variations. The theme was written by the composer/ guitarist Catherina Pratten (1824-1895) and is first introduced here by the solo harp. The three brief variations that follow continue to alter the melody, rhythm, harmony, and tempo.

Composer Frederic Glesser (b. 1956) grew up near Toledo, Ohio, where his early musical influences were rock, jazz, and music of the Baroque era. He studied jazz with Gene Parker and had flute studies with Kay Hartsfeld. He was later educated at Kent State University (BMus) in Ohio where he studied composition with James Waters and David Stewart, and studied flute with Raymond DeMattia and Maurice Sharp (former principal flutist, Cleveland Orchestra). His graduate studies where undertaken at the University of Miami (MMus) in Florida where he studied composition with Dennis Kam. Glesser has also been artist-in-residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts with Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Martino.

Glesser’s music has been presented at concert venues throughout the United States and Europe, Canada, Argentina, and Brazil; and festivals including Kent-Blossom (USA), JazzWeek (Netherlands), New Music North (Canada), Modern American Composers (Ukraine, Armenia), Subtropics (USA), and Frontwave (USA). Informed by a variety of musical genres, his resulting catalog is stylistically diverse. Included among the many performers who have presented his music are artists and groups such as pianists Max Lifchitz, Kathleen Supové, Mary Kauffman, and Michael Linville (New World Symphony), bassists Luis Gómez-Imbert and Mark Neuenschwander, percussionist Ingrid Gordon, flutists Rita D’Arcangelo, Iwona Glinka, Marie Schwartz, Lisa Hansen, and Tammy Phillips, the Delgani String Quartet, North/South Consonance, duo Ahlert-Schwab, Ibis Camerata, Hardwick Chamber Ensemble, Florida Symphony, Akron Youth Symphony, Canton Youth Orchestra, Wooster Symphony, and the Glass Orchestra. His compositions include works for small to medium ensemble, solo instrumental, and orchestra.

Select works are recorded on Albany, ERM Media, North/South, Zimbel Press, Phasma (Greece), and CDBaby.

Glesser currently resides near Asheville, North Carolina. His son Harrison lives in Asheville also, and his daughter Ashley now lives in Natick Massachusetts and works in downtown Boston.

Ranie Ribeiro's artistic journey has taken on new dimensions and disciplines. Formerly known by his DJ moniker D-Ribeiro, Ranie Ribeiro is solidifying himself as a harpist. 

One of the notable aspects of his transformation is not only embracing the role of a composer, but also as a stage performer. 
For award winning choreographer Sedrig Verwoert’s latest piece “The Ritual” (2023), Ribeiro was initially commissioned as a co-composer alongside Phantom Wizard. Eventually both self taught musicians performed live on stage while Sedrig Verwoert and Alanna Archibald executed the piece in elegant movements.  

In live performances at acclaimed venues such as Paradiso, Melkweg and de Doelen (2023) Ribeiro used the harp to experiment with classical, electronica and hiphop elements while creating and adding on to existing compositions he describes as meditative and vulnerable. Ribeiro also appeared with singer-songwriter Linde Schone on NPO 3FM and with the newly formed Kinship Ensemble at Ruigoord (2023).

Ribeiro unveils his talents as a score composer for the first time on Het Jaar Rond on Nous’Klaer (2021), commissioned by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. Embracing the harp’s delicate resonance he went on scoring various projects such as Het Limburgse Landschap (2021), Short Scores (2022) commissioned by Eye Film, and most recently, Waka Nanga Mi (2023). The latter short film was screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and received massive public acclaim.

Erin Hill is a New York City singer, harpist, songwriter, actor and science fiction geek.  She's had a #1 Celtic album on the Billboard world chart and has played and sung with Kanye West, moby, Sinead O’Connor, Enya, a-ha, Cyndi Lauper, Jewel, and has played solo at The Royal Albert Hall.  She’s also known as The Pretty White Girl on Comedy Central's “Chappelle's Show.”   Cleopatra Records has released Erin's albums "Harp Town," "Christmas Harp," and "Girl Inventor."

Soraya Vermeulen is an award-winning harpist based in Leicestershire and Greater London.

Soraya graduated in 2014 from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, London, with a Masters in Music with Distinction, following a BMus First Class Honours Degree in harp performance. She was also awarded a high Distinction in an LTCL Diploma for Music Teaching. 

Born in Leicestershire, and previously a music scholar at Oakham School, Soraya has been playing harp since she was 7 years old.  She studied harp under Gabriella Dall’Olio, and studied early music on the triple harp with Frances Kelly. Soraya gained a Leverhulme Arts Scholarship to continue her studies on a Masters of Music Performance course, and was awarded a Musicians Benevolent Fund Postgraduate Performance Award. Alongside these prestigious awards Soraya was also presented with a Penske Automotive Scholarship and City Livery Club Prize for Excellence.

Soraya has won many prizes for her playing in festivals and competitions, including Leicester Young Performer of the Year aged just 13 and the John Marson Harp Prize, (for an outstanding and creative musician), in 2012, leading to a solo recital at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London. 

Soraya had her concerto debut at St John’s, Smith Square, London, at the age of 15, and has travelled widely with her harp, playing both solo and orchestral works in Spain, Belgium, France and Portugal. 

She has played in many prestigious venues in the UK including The Royal Albert Hall, London Barbican, Cardiff Millennium Centre, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Festival Hall at London’s South Bank. She has also performed, among others, alongside, Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Alfie Boe, Michael Ball, Gregory Porter, Pixie Lott, Laura Mvula, Katie Melua and the West End cast of War Horse.

Regularly invited to play for dignitaries, Soraya has performed for members of the Royal family, including Her Majesty the Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and also for Lord Lieutenants. She has worked closely with composer Amir Sadeghi, with whom she has recorded a world premiere with the Marson Harp Trio for BBC Television, and also regularly plays as part of a flute & harp duo with Katherine Birtles (Fantasia Duo), a clarinet & harp duo with Christopher Hatton (Clarity Duo) and with Soprano, Erika Wooding (Duo Incanto). 

Soraya has a love of orchestral playing and was awarded a place on a mentor scheme with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under principal harpist, Rachel Masters.  Her passion for orchestral playing began during her six year position as principal harpist with the CBSO Youth Orchestra, a position she also held with the award-winning Northampton Youth Orchestra from the age of twelve until leaving to start her studies at music conservatoire. Now she regularly performs with many orchestras such as the Leicester Symphony Orchestra and the Bardi Orchestra at Leicester's De Montfort Hall. Annually she performs as the harpist for the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall and the for Mountbatten Festival of Music. 

A highly popular performer at weddings and corporate events Soraya has played for many prestigious clients, including new launches of BMW and for many recordings such as “Frank Benbini” from the Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Stompy’s Playground (a twelve-piece ensemble melding the mind bending grooves of electronic dance music and an expansive orchestral sound world).

Not only does Soraya have a very busy performing career but she also has a great passion for teaching, with a very busy private teaching studio. She is the harp teacher for The Pointer Preparatory School, London, Loughborough Endowed Schools, Oakham School, Southwell Minster and Northamptonshire Music Service.  Soraya is grateful to be supported by the Sir Andrew Martin Trust, The Gordon Robinson Memorial Trust, The Norman Gill Trust and The Dorothy Johnson Trust.
