Paul is not in the mood this week. He isn’t in the mood to be a podcaster. He isn’t in the mood to have a laugh. He isn’t in the mood for Eli. He isn’t in the mood for Eli’s vocal “chuntering” and all he IS in the mood for is a nap. Obviously, Eli loves this fact and is going to great pleasure in soaking up all of Paul’s self-loathing. All we are saying is, it may get personal this week! Luckily, there is some actual content, even if it’s not exactly the content they planned. Before they even get started, they take a tangent into the deeply scatological when they discover “rectal euphoria” is a thing and Eli suggests a new segment that ISN’T going to happen. CheapShow is back on the snacks, when they are introduced to Tayto “Might Munch” and given a taste test challenge. Meanwhile, a limited edition bag of Walkers crisps tries to gain entrance to the Snack Palace, but will it get in? Finally, Paul has a Charity Shop Showcase he believes will not only win Eli over, but also change the way we understand reality! As you can probably guess, it doesn’t go well for him.

Unfortunately for Harry Potter fans everywhere, we have been hit with the tragic news that Dame Maggie Smith who played the fantastic but firm Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter movie adaptions has passed away recently. I had this planned before but I wanted to dedicate it in her name. 

Like Wallace and Gromit, I'm a big fan of Harry Potter and this is one of the catchiest pieces from the films and I thought it would be funny to do it like I did with Wallace and Gromit and use the DX7 VST to make it sound like a wompy synthetic mix.

SnapSessions! presents Episode 59, featuring an interview with British comedian and character actor, Andy Linden and a SnapSessions! Environmental Report Card for Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, just in time for the November 2024 election.
 
Andy Linden is a comedian and character actor who grew up in the London. Andy talks about a relatively hard-scrabble upbringing in the borough of Tottenham leading to an interest in stage. He began working on the Alternative Cabaret circuit in the 1980s and quickly scored with his partner, Cliff Parisi in an act called “The Port Stanley Amateur Dramatic Society”, a name that mocked Britain’s 1982 War in the Falklands. By the latter 1980s Andy was picking up work in various crime shows on the telly including The Bill, East Enders, and Count Arthur Strong as well as a role on the HBO show Rome. He also worked in films like Guy Ritchie’s RocknRolla and played the role of Mundungus Fletcher in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. His recent one man show Baxter vs. The Bookies detailing his experiences in sports betting was a quirky hit at the 2022 Edinburgh Festival.

In addition, SnapSessions! takes a look at Donald Trump’s Environmental Report Card in another of our political exposés. We follow Trump from his Summer of 2017 withdrawl from the Paris Climate Accords, to his placing of three anti-environmental regulation justices on the Supreme Court, to his kowtowing to Big Oil executives in the 2024 campaign, to his almost cartoon-like anti Earth philosophy of “Drill, Baby Drill”.  Will our planet survive another four years of Donald Trump? SnapSessions! makes an attempt to judge this orange man’s callous attitude toward our planet.

Doug Nunn is an teacher/improv comic who is now doing Snap Sessions, a podcast where he interviews artists about their creative projects and opinions. The show also includes Doug's editorials and opinion pieces. Doug has worked as a teacher, animator, cook, construction worker, truck driver, as well as improv player and coach. He has been a member of Hit and Run Theater since 1979, and worked as one half of the comedy team, Burns and Nunn from 1985-92. He has coached improv theatre in the western US and Europe, most extensively in Germany, Britain and at Mendocino High School in California.
