The boundless words of numbing trees
You had burnt fingers, then burnt knees

The strawberry patch in grandma's garden
Was always full of myths to fathom 
The information leaked at bay 
The kettle boils as you pray 

And in the wake of a slipping hour 
You start to build the highest tower 
The galloping horses they turn to clay 
I can’t make out a word you say 

The crackling sounds of ruthless patterns 
Make it up as if it matters
Into soft anomaly’s pause  
I can’t know why or because

She tells me  
And I know 
every moment I can go 
into someone’s secret garden 
Where the truth
 it dies 
only
 to harden up
my sight.
