Baxie talks to Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Chris Stein of Blondie. Chris is about to release his amazing new memoir, "Under a Rock" (available on 6-11-24). It's an incredible story of not only how the band went on to sell more than 40 million records with songs like "Heart of Glass", "The Tide is High", and "Rapture". It's also a story of a man who was literally in the center of New York City music and culture during the 1970's. Chris also talks very openly about both his struggles with addiction and some of the health issues that disrupted his career. "Atomic" is a song by American rock band Blondie from their fourth studio album, Eat to the Beat (1979). Written by Debbie Harry and Jimmy Destri and produced by Mike Chapman, the song was released in February 1980 as the album's third single. The song was produced as a mixture of new wave, rock and disco which had proven to be so successful in their number-one single from earlier in 1979, "Heart of Glass". However I don't advocate (the added distraction of) doing yoga to a soundtrack, when a big part of the yoga journey is Pratyahar (eliminating the distracting affects of the senses), I do advocate dancing. I create mixes for subliminal inspiration, mixing bhajans and satsangs with beats...original tracks created from field recordings in India, global remixes and mash-ups exploring the commonalities among african, arabic, bhangra, brazilian, bollywood, classic jazz vocalists, bhajans & beats. original tracks and DJ mixes etc.

I was born in Wolfsburg in Lower Saxony. At the end of the 80s I was very busy with music and had my favorite artists like Kraftwerk, Jean-Michel Jarre, O.M.D, Howard Jones and many more. Everything had to do with electronic music.
At that time I started making records on a small private party, which in the beginning of the 90s was very strongly influenced by electronic music. In 1992, I attended my first techno party and that was my music. I only bought records in certain stores and in 1993 I was allowed to play at a big event for the first time. At the end of the 90's I also learned to produce this music. In 2001 my first record was released. Then things became more important than music and I retreated. In 2010, the music took me back and bought the equipment to produce this music.
3 years later I founded my first label "Mörtelwerk Musik", on which I released four Tracks. Later, in 2014, I founded "Maybe Music", the next label. My style changes and this forced my decision to launch a new label.
Later on, I wanted to build a platform for young and talented producers in the house/deep house/ progressive house genre and so, I founded "Soon records" as a Sublabel of Maybe Music.

At the end of the first decade of the new millennium the influence of contemporary club music on the Psy Trance scene is omnipresent: More and more producers from all the different corners of this style take up elements from Minimal and Techno. Others turn to very poppy melodies which unfortunately has a negative impact on the psychedelic deepness of the music. In this situation Solar Tech Records very consciously defines itself as an innovative platform for classical Psy Trance sounds in 2008. Without peering at recent trends, label founder DJ Natron is engaged in keeping up and promoting the original idea of this music. The result is driving dance music with a proper dose of thrill and piles of deep and psychedelic moments but without getting poppy, kitschy or hectic at any time. Laugi aka Natron gathered lots of experience not only as a long-year DJ but also as promoter of the popular Hamburg-based party series “Intact Expanda” and therefore developed a sophisticated feeling for the vibe of the scene. Solar Tech’s sound refers to new generation of artists that unites its local influences of the Trance hot spots South Africa, the UK, South America and Hamburg to an ever exciting and refreshing new mixture: Pushing dance music which makes your feet dancing and your mind floating in the club as well as on a sunlit dance floor of an open air festival!
