How surreal to play the 4-5am slot for Shadows @ Revolver Upstairs :') Shadows is especially perfect as the focus is on my very favourite kind of techno - dark and hypnotic. I'm over the moon with how well the crowd received the journey I created <3

Caity's sets are a fusion of deep, hypnotic, heavy and hard sounds. A Caity Watsøn set maintains a meticulous progression that skillfully balances softness with boundary-pushing intensity. With an innate attraction to strange, dark grooves, and intense soundscapes, Caity draws inspiration from labels such as KD Raw, HATE, Filth on Acid & OBSCUUR Records. Her musical influences extend beyond the electronic realm, finding inspiration in non-electronic genres such as progressive metal, doom, black, thrash and folk metal, stoner rock, psychedelic rock, 90's/00's alternative, and even old school disco and funk.

Grateful for Naarm’s thriving music scene, Caity has had the honour of playing at iconic Melbourne venues such as Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon, Rubix Warehouse, KISS FM, Area3000 & Melbourne Pavilion, as well as guest mixes for Music Victoria, Anomalie Collective, Proponent Records and more. In 2023, Caity was signed as a resident artist for Track08 and was voted into the top 5 for Victoria’s ‘Best DJ’.

A manifestation of her years of passion for connecting like-minded people and building a community, Caity is also the driving force behind Naarm techno collective '150 BPM', which focuses on raw, hypnotic and hard techno genres. ‘150 BPM’ is a mindset – aiming to push artists to play what they thought they could never get away with.
